  • Great scooter with a ton of power
Style: Off Road Tires with Seat
I searched a lot of brands and features before selecting this scooter. Overall feedback from other purchasers (especially in their videos) was nothing but positive. I was not disappointed. To get a couple things I don’t like out of the way: (1) it resets to power level 1 of 5 and single-wheel drive at startup, (2) the suspension is too stiff for a rough gravel road (more on that later), and (3) the steering damper limits steering travel too much (I took it off). Comments: (1) More power than you can really even use, because the thumb throttle takes you from zero to full power (in your chosen range) in less than 70 degrees of rotation, so if you put it in 3 and “floor it”, it’ll almost leave you behind as it lunges up to about 25 mph; it’s very difficult to moderate the throttle; so start in 2, back off and bump up to 3, then ease back in, and that’ll get you up to 25 mph or so (don’t bump up a power level with the throttle wide open unless you want to test out your safety gear). I can’t imagine going any faster on gravel. But all that power in reserve means no uphill too steep and a battery that feels like it never needs charging. I could pull a toddler trailer with this and scare the crap out of the toddler. (2) Because of the stiff suspension, the top of the tall handlebar stem can get some serious lever-like movement forward/backward, which makes it hard to hold the rotating throttle steady, which leads to a feeling of surging and engine-braking as you encounter bumps, even with the engine braking effect set to zero (choose from 0 to 5). So I’ve gotten used to staying in level 2 and keeping the throttle pressed wide open against the stop so it doesn’t move and I don’t get that surge/brake effect as I cruise at about 17 mph. I also dropped the tire pressures to about 10 psi to soften the ride. (3) The menu gives lots of options to tailor your ride, like turning cruise control on/off (which the manual says nothing about), engine braking effect, a PIN number if you lose both NFC cards, and more. (4) Blinkers, headlights, and tail lights. Those don’t make you road-legal, but they will keep you safer out there. (5) Includes two chargers to top you off fast, but I’ve done a half-mile loop to my mailbox about a dozen times now and the battery meter has only dropped from 5 to 4, and that was almost immediately (that’s the charge it arrived with; I haven’t even plugged it in yet). (6) I backed off the tension adjusters on both springs as far as they’d go (this lowers the deck so much the kickstand is now too tall and the rear kick plate rubs the fender) so my teeth didn’t rattle on my gravel driveway. I think part of the problem is it’s going over twice as fast as my old one, plus the knobby tires. But while you can still bounce on the deck, the springs are so tough and have so little travel that (I don’t think) it can flex enough to help with the little stuff (kind of like the front torsion springs on a 1-ton Chevy). I’m getting a lighter, longer-travel spring from a mountain bike suspension to see if it helps; they seem to be a very standard size. (7) The box was pretty beat up; probably came straight from overseas. While the packing is a little loose, it’s well-padded and wrapped and zip-tied together so I didn’t notice any shipping rash. (8) I emailed a couple questions to their support and got answers in less than 24 hours. (9) Overall, as long as something doesn’t break that irreparable, this’ll be the scooter for the rest of my life. Way too much power, suspension I can work with, menus to set options, nice display (though it washes out in sunlight), full lighting and horn, and even illuminated logos. Very happy with this scooter. ... show more

  • Metamoov 60v 6000 watt FAST!
Style: Off Road Tires with Seat
The media could not be loaded. First off before my purchase, I emailed metamoov with questions and they promptly replied each time. I ordered the scooter June 5 evening and received it June 7,only 2 days! The box was in excellent condition with no defects. The scooter was packaged with care with not 1 scratch. Assembly was easy taking about 30 minutes. Everything was included with no missing parts. After assembly, it took approximately 2 hrs to fully charge. My first ride was careful knowing that this scooter has so much power after reading other reviews. The ride is smooth over bumps in the road. After a couple hours I turned up the power. It is programed with 5 power levels for each motor. Level one, maybe 10 mph, bump it up to level 4 on one motor and it will take you to 35,level 5 about 42. That was scary for me, no helmet or protective gear. No wobble with the steering damper adjusted half way. The first motor uses the front wheel,. Dual Motors and the rear kicks in. Dual motor speed 2 and there's a rush of speed. This will spin the tire from a dead stop. The electronic hydraulic brakes are very touchy but can be adjusted through the app. So far I have 40 miles on the first charge with 3 out of 5 bars still showing. This is an awesome scooter with more than enough power to keep you happy. Customer service is top notch and reply quickly, sometimes within a couple of hours. You will not be disappointed with this scooter or company! Joe B. ... show more

  • A handful seriously but an amazing beast once conquered
Style: Off Road Tires with Seat
Up front the quality and function of this scooter are exceptional. One caveat is that it is very fast. Other reviews have said the same thing but it bears repeating. This scooter can get away from you pretty easily. It is also a big piece of equipment and as such it takes some care in handling when walking it. I test rode mine after I had assembled it and charged it. The handling was frightening. I checked when I got home and the tires were essentially flat. The one thing I hadn't checked when I assembled it. It is much better with the proper amount of air in the tires but it is still a very fast, and thus a lot to manage. I recommend using "gear" 1 and single motor to get started. Work your way up in increments. Stopping is another area where easing yourself into it is a good strategy. The braking system is made up of two parts. The brake pads and rotors are one and the electronic motor braking is the other. The electronic part is what comes first as you squeeze the brake lever. It is very powerful and hard to get used to. The rotor and pads are added as you continue to squeeze the brake lever and end up being the only braking once you get below 4km per hour speed. That brings us to the instructions or rather rudimentary instructions that come with the scooter. This is about setting the modes. There is a chart of the "P" codes in the manual. There is no instructions on how to access them. The two of most interest are the mileage unit setting (mph or km/h) and the e-brake setting. If I figure out how to access these codes I will update thus review. ... show more

  • If it breaks—- nowhere to go to have it fixrd
Style: Off Road Tires with Seat
This was my second scooter. Only lasted a week. I previously had a less expensive scooter and that lasted 3 weeks. Hard to get parts and communication with customer service is not very good. All in all, I’m bummed
