This is a really interesting mattress protector. It feels like plastic but with some felt material. It’s very thin so before I put this cover on my mattress I took a small cup of water, poured it on the protector and the water rolled right off. It was very very thin so I was skeptical but definitely water resistant. It is nosey and it does fit my 12 inch queen memory foam mattress slightly big. Overall I’m very pleased with this purchase. I definitely would recommend *Update A little TMI* so I brought this mattress protector specifically for periods. I was bleeding really heavy last night and blood leaked all over my bed. I’m not one to write reviews but after I spilled my coffee I was nervous to check my mattress. I had seen reviews saying that it didn’t work and it just went through. As I took off the protector I was hoping for coffee to be on my mattress. Once I saw the spot where I spilled coffee.. Let me tell you how EXCITED I GOT.. More excited than when the Lakers won the championship.. THIS protector works GREAT! Don’t listen to these other reviews! WORTH EVERY PENNY!

I just moved to an apartment so got 2 of these (one for box spring and 1 for mattress) to protect against beg bugs and to protect against stains...this was the only queen mattress encasement cover I found so far that would fit my 2sided pillow top mattress (16 in thick). That's basically all I like so far as I just put it on...the thing I hate is that the advertisement says smooth and noiseless and that is not true! This thing is so loud it's aggravating enough that I'm thinking about returning it. If you place your hand on it...sound! If you lay on a sheet that's on top of it...still loud...if you sit on it and get back up as the mattress rises back up...so noisy sounds like popcorn popping in the next room! If it's on a bear's bed in the forest and nobody's there will it still make a sound?? YES! If you are a couple in which one person is a light sleeper and the other is a restless one, I would not recommend this particular cover...you will hear swish swish sounds all night. Also one of the covers has a faint yellow stain on it but I didn't notice until after I washed it and was about to put it on the bed...this one will go on the box spring but hopefully they did not send me something used??! I can't comment on the waterproof because I just got it and don't wish to spill anything on my bed just to test it out.

This is exactly what I was looking for! I recently bought a foam mattress topper and when laying on the bed it lifts up at the corners. I needed a mattress cover to hold the foam in place and this one is perfect! I didn't want the kind that was like a fitted sheet because I didn't want things to shift. Not only does this fit over my mattress and foam like a dream but it's got a high quality zipper and doesn't make a lot of noise when you lay on it. Also, I was thrilled to find one that could encase my pillowtop queen size mattress with the foam on it which makes it 17" thick. This one covered everything without struggle. So happy! :)

I don’t have kids, just two cats with sensitive stomachs and will need something like on this on the bed. It’s done a good job so far. Update: Aug 14, 2am: Woke up to a warm feeling by my leg. My cat just peed on the bed next to me. Extremely mad and alarmed I ripped off my regular bedsheets. I was panicking that the cat pee was just soaking into my brand new memory foam topper while I was running around trying to get my sheets washed and rid of the cat pee smell. To my surprise I was able to soak up the remaining cat pee with a paper towel, spray it down with an enzyme spray formulated to remove cat pee. I sprayed it down twice and let it soak each time for a few minutes before wiping it off. Once that was done I unzipped the mattress protector to look at the damage. I am so happy that it didn’t soak through to my memory foam pad. It was dry and had no cat pee smell. The mattress protector did exactly what I needed it too. I am planning to buy a second one soon.

We had two memory foam mattress stacked on top of one another because we was sure of the thickness we wanted. Well the two mattress moved when sleeping on them and we have to adjust them every morning, so we bought this to put both mattresses in it and it worked perfectly. The mattresses stay in place with great comfort and also added benefit of water proof. This unit is strong and easy to work with without fears of tearing it and the zipper worked very well and durable. Good quality item great job!

I purchased this encasement for my new hybrid mattress that is 18" in case I ever needed to use the warranty on it. I found it interesting that this arrived without any kind of protection/mailer bag, they just slapped an address label on it, but it arrived safely so whatever. I had a moment of panic/irritation though as the info sheet in the package says it fits mattresses "up to 15-16 deep" which is NOT what Amazon stated. However, the fabric has a little give to it so I was able to put this on the mattress by myself and it fits like a glove and zipped easily, perfect!! It is also soft, smooth, and was quiet so I'm pleased. I "tested" a corner of this by running tap water over it and the underside was dry so I feel confident that this will protect mattresses as promised. I definitely feel it's a good value.
