After doing some research, I decided to but this bed for my son’s Batman themed bedroom. It was delivered in a timely manner and it was very well packaged. It is a very nice bed, although it was a little intimidating when I first took the parts out of the box. Everything changed when I saw all parts were numbered and instructions were very simple to follow. It all fit perfectly and all the tools needed (A Ratchet) were provided. It took me no longer than 30 minutes to assemble the bed frame. The wood used to make this bed is pretty sturdy and there is absolutely no squeaking. Overall, This bed is well thought out and the designers took their time to take care of every single detail. You do not have to worry about the spacing between the slats because they are pre-assembled. You just have to stick them on to the frame. The slats also have non slip tape to prevent your mattress to move around. I will definitely buy from Zinus again when I remodel my bedroom. ... show more

I think when it comes to mattresses it is important to take into account the body type of an individual. I am a slender male 160 lbs and do not have any one else sleeping with me. I purchased the Queen-sized Zinus Memory Foam with Cottage Style frame and love it! The bed was easy to assemble and I had no trouble with the instructions. Previously, I had a 2nd hand Queen sized inner box spring mattress and it had some grooves dug into it by the time I purchased my Zinus. The new Zinus mattress is easily worth the purchase. On my old mattress I used to wake up stiff, sometimes my knees/shoulders/neck would hurt when I'd wake up. I could not always get comfortable and would wake up multiple times during the night. On my new Zinus mattress I have not waken up with any joint pain. The bed is soft and the frame is sturdy. There is no squeaking and the overall build quality is top notch. Another plus that may not be on your checklist is the ease of assembly. Every part is labeled. The slates are pre-assembled and the instructions are very detailed. From start to finish the bed took me about 20 minutes to setup. I would recommend this mattress and frame to all individuals. ... show more

    • It was easy to put together

I purchased this bed for myself. I'm a regular sized guy and after about 3 months this bed has started to come apart. It was easy to put together, but I've re-tightened all the screws several times and it continues to lean to one side and the center support is nearly snapped off. I regularly have to take off the mattress straighten it all back out, and after a week or so it starts to lean again. The side supports simply are not reinforced or braced correctly in my opinion. I will probably try to brace it with some kind of support system or just trash it all together. If I could return it I would. Other than that the bed is very good looking and fits my queen mattress quite well. Update - the company was very easy to deal with and sent me a completely new bed. Time will tell if the same problems return, but the outstanding customer service has me put this at 4 stars. I feel buyers can purchase with confidence the company will stand behind their product. ... show more

This review is specifically for packaging and assembly - Queen size Zinus Santiago - we have not used the bed yet. Even though i put together many shelves, desks, and cabinets, I was reluctant to buy a bed that requires assembly. But a friend recently purchased and was pleased with Zinus bed. Bed arrived on time. I was impressed how sturdy the shipping box was. Inside, there was another just as sturdy inner box. There is no chance that contents would get damaged in transit. The contents were arranged inside with the perfect precision - no movement or banging. I was totally amazed to see that *each* styrofoam spacer was placed inside of the plastic sleeve! - NO messy styrofoam flakes after unpacking. The assembly was very easy. It took me a little over an hour at a *leisure pace* in a cramped space. The holes are aligned with laser precision. The hardware is high quality - the nuts and bolts are well-threaded and fit perfectly. It takes virtually no effort to assemble the parts. And Instructions deserve whole a lot of praise! Clear, concise, large, easy to follow schematics. Other manufactures should learn form Zinus how to ship their stuff. Thank you Zinus! I hope I will be just as pleased when we begin using the bed. -> I will update this review if needed. ... show more

I was skeptical about ordering a bed frame sight unseen but am more than thrilled with the results. It's beautiful, well made, sturdy and was so incredibly easy to assemble. The parts were all in a separate package, labeled with clear instructions, tools included and spare parts as well, which were labeled as "spare parts" so you're not left wondering if you forgot something at the end when there are leftover screws and bolts. Really fantastic product and packaging! BTW...love the Zinus mattress I ordered as well. I'm a believer and a Zinus fan! ... show more

I am really impressed by the quality and sturdiness of this bed. It arrived very well packaged so that started the good impression on the right note. The bed was easy to assemble and took about an hour. All the necessary tools were provided and the instructions were easy to follow. If you assemble in the order written in the instructions, one person can assemble this bed without any problems. The end result is very beautiful and exactly as described. We bought a 12 in memory foam mattress for the bed, no boxspring. The bed and mattress fit together solidly, no squeaks or wobbles in the frame. I would buy this brand again. ... show more
