We have an older dog who likes to jump up onto the bed, so we decided to swap out our 9" box springs with a low-profile 4" one instead. My husband thought I was crazy buying a box spring that we had to put together, but during the assembly process he kept saying, "I am thoroughly impressed!" We both were impressed! It was super easy to put together, and everything was numbered. If you built Tinkertoys as a child, you can do this!! And not only did it include an allen wrench, but there was also a small ratchet wrench to make things even easier. And there were also a couple of extra screws, just in case. The wooden boards that install across the frame, they are sewn together and have Velcro on one side, and the fame has a Velcro strip, and you just roll them out and they are perfectly spaced and securely in place. And the wood seems to be of good quality, and not cheapo wood. I couldn't be happier, and I would highly recommend this box spring to anyone looking for a box spring! ... show more

Putting this together was simple other than there are numbers and letters showing how to assemble in the proper steps. The letters confused me (maybe it’s just me, but idk what the letters were there for ?). Once we went only by the numbers we did fine . We had several interruptions during assembly but could have assembled it in 30 minutes otherwise. It seemed pretty lightweight and I wondered about how sturdy it would be, but once we got it on the bed and the mattress on, it seems sturdy enough. It is a little narrower than my bedframe so we put down 6 slats we had, under it for support so it wouldn’t fall through to the floor . With all the interruptions we forgot to attach the slats that came with it and put the cover on and then the mattress, so the mattress went all wonky and we were thinking what a piece of junk! Then I realized we had not put the slats on !!!! LoL….Once We did that and got all assembled correctly, it is fine. My big (football linebacker size) 18 year old grandson is sleeping on it and we haven’t heard any noise or had problems with the boxspring so far. We opted for the wooden slats over metal and they seem a little thin, but so far so good. The Velcro attachment is awesome as are the extra screws and the ratchet and Allen wrench that came with it. The boxspring came in a long thin box. I thought for a moment that maybe I had ordered the wrong thing. To my surprise, I opened the box and found that all the parts to the boxspring were inside. The assembly directions were super easy to follow. I am 4” 11 and put it together in 30 minutes. The frame is sturdy and cover is good quality. I am very happy with my purchase! Needed a king size boxspring, platform, or whatever term you use. Replaced 2 twin xl boxsprings for a king bed. Rather than spending $200 ea at local mattress store, chose this. Let’s just say, this is hardly a tight fit. Barely sits in rails of bedframe as from side to side the bed measures 77.5”. This product, is 75” and change. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD BASE ALREADY ON YOUR BED. I love this box spring. So easy to assemble!! I am 70 years old and I did it by myself in 2 hours. Young people I bet you only need 30 minutes LOL. The cover is so nice. Very pleased. It looks sturdy so we will see. My first impression was wait this is 2 inches short on the sides. That helps to put the beautiful cover on easily.
