Just want to start out by saying the slats are super sturdy and fluctuate between 2.5 and 2.75 inches (most foam bed manufacturers require a maximum of 3" between slats for warranty reasons). Okay, now that THAT’S out of the way. This Box spring/Box Frame is AMAZING. I never leave 5 star reviews except for items I think go above and beyond and this one sure does. The design and thought that went into this thing are superb. Extremely easy assembly, extremely sturdy yet super light and super rigid. It even comes with an amazing little allen wrench ratchet tool (pictured). The sides have velcro on them which attaches to Velcro strips which are stapled to the slats, and the slats themselves come in two separate sections. the design is perfect in that you simply grab a section of flats and "roll" it out and stick it to the velcro on the frame which holds it in place. The instructions were clear as far as putting the pieces together and really the ONLY thing I would say that could use improvement is the cover itself. Its designed in a way that it zips on three sides and you "wrap" it around the frame and zip it up, the issue is that when you do this you have to have two people: one to hold the frame up and the other to pull it through along the bottom. Once you do get the bottom section of the cover under the frame itself, everything gets easy and you simply zip it on up. I know this is "simply" a box spring, and maybe I am just so used to the old crappy styles. But this one is WELL worth the money. Strong, Stable, easy to assemble, perfect for foam beds, comes in a relatively small box. You cant go wrong with this one, and I will be buying again if I am ever in need of a box spring in the future. ... show more

I can't say enough good things about this box spring. First, I had no idea that there *was* such a thing as non-standard box springs, and was pleasantly surprised to find so many options available. I went with this particular company because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews, and am happy to report those aren't just so much smoke being blown. From start to finish, this item was a) easy to put together, b) showcased quality construction, c) had great instructions, and d) included little touches that made me say "Why aren't more people doing this!?" Just as a couple of examples: they included a *ratcheting* hex wrench to make it easier to tighten a couple of the harder to reach screws (and it's a nice one that I plan to use whenever I get the chance). Also, the places where pieces need to match up (e.g. where the header and footer needed to attach to the side rails) had the same number on them. If the numbers match, you know everything is oriented the right way - brilliant! I've made a *LOT* of flat pack furniture in my day, and this was such a welcome "quality of life" move. I tested my bed out last night, and heard no creaking or squeaking (and I tend to toss and turn); if anything, my bed felt more solidly supported and comfortable with this box spring as a foundation. I would 100% purchase from this company again, and would recommend them highly to others. ... show more

Looking for a box spring to on with a new mattress but didn't want to pay the crazy prices on suites like Purple. Most modern mattresses require the slats to be less than three inches or so and many metal box spring slats are too far apart unlike this Zinus model. The delivery box is pretty heavy and tall with everything being fitted together neatly in the box with no shipping damage even though it was unwieldy for the UPS driver to deliver it.Assembly is easy as everything is numbered and the side and middle rails fit together perfectly and I was able to put it together single handed. The holes aligned perfectly so screwing it together was easy especially as there was a basic ratcheting wrench included along with a conventional hexagonal wrench which I did not need to use. It is easier to fit the slats with two people and they attach to the Velcro strips on the rails with ease. The cover fits well and was we say to put on as it was neither too tight nor too loose and seems well made. The zip on the cover did not give by us any problem Altogether this is a very nice product with the proviso that it must fit your bed frame of course. One bed we have is too big for the box spring to fit by an inch or two so measure carefully! ... show more

Actually very impressed with this box spring. It's not your traditional box spring; I think it's actually considered a bed foundation. Anyway, I have this furniture set (on of those real wood sets with the glass detailing that everyone hates but I still obsess over) that I've held onto since I was in high school and for years, my custom-ordered foundation was wonderful untillll a few weeks ago when my movers snapped the steel frame (which is kind of funny). Anyway, I was looking for the exact same foundation when I found out that the one I had was custom ordered and the company is no longer in business (very fml moment). But, after some digging, and reading countless blogs about the best bed foundations (boring), I came across this brand. So, at like 2 am, I decided to just say eff it and order this one. And I'm honestly so glad I did. It's very similar to the one I had before with the steel frame and wood slats, which means I get great support, no sagging while holding up my HEAVY mattress, but also just a bit of flex so it doesn't feel like I'm sleeping on concrete. It's truly a wonderful nights sleep. The assembly was really straightforward (especially after disassembling my last one) and took maybe 5 minutes (but I tag teamed it with my boyfriend because tightening the bolts did take a minute). It also came with a little bold tightener thing that was such a NICE touch. The only thing that was not so great was that the frame was just a tad shorter than my mattress, so I ended up just placing it to where a bit of my mattress hangs off the end. It was also a bit small width-wise, so we had to kind of carefully place it in my actual bed frame. ... show more
