Neither the machined surface or the cast surface on the base of the stand are close to being flat. I’ve had to do extensive grinding on the bottom surface just so it sits flat against the surface I’m using it on. The action of the moving components is fine after some adjusting.     • Works but needed modifications for my drill
Bought to replace my old broken benchtop drill press. Same general design as the old one. Couldn't get my drill to stay centered in the slip housing. Used parts from old press to modify this one to hold my drill. Works great now. Used it to make a 1/4 inch thick plywood custom pegboard in my garage. Every hole centered and perfectly spaced. Would give it 5 stars if the drill mount was universal fit. ... show more

The 'instructions' are poorly printed, low resolution, photos only. No words, or even labels of parts. They are not enough to get the item built. The friction clamp anchor point to keep the press assembly from rotating around the vertical support shaft is the same bolt used to attach the actuator arm that raises and lowers the holder. The repeated movement of the arm loosens the clamp allowing the entire assembly to rotate around the support rod. The nut that holds the bolt is the wrong size, barely kept from spinning in it's seat by the points against the flat of the seat. Repeated tightening of the bolt to anchor the assembly so your drill doesn't swing around the vertical support shaft will quickly wear down the nut's corners allowing it to spin in it's seat, no longer able to be tightened enough to stabilize horizontal movement of the assembly. I bought this listing because the vise was included. As a bonus, it turns out to be a quick release. However the holes in the base of the vise don't align with the base of the press. ... show more

    • The side holder no good design
The side holder haven’t a good design, doesn’t stay fixed and the drill tool can move even with a good tight of the bolt at braces
