  • If you can assemble plastic bricks, you can assemble this bed frame.
Size: Queen Color: Grey Pattern Name: Mattress Foundation
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I purchased this bed frame for my new guest room. I didn't want to spend a large sum of money on a room that will mostly be unoccupied in my home. I haven't slept on it due to not yet having a mattress. However, this bed frame feels very solid and looks nice in my guest room. It ships in a single long box that's just over 80" long. It's not super heavy but it isn't super light either. You won't have an issue if you never skip leg day. Everyone else might want a helper. The components aren't labeled, but they're easy to identify from the instructions. You have the four sides, a center member, the cross-members, and 9 legs. A rubber mallet is included in the box which is the only tool you might need when putting this together. I only used it to make sure the cross-members were fully seated in their saddles. This frame is tall enough you do not need a box-spring or other foundation for an 8" or thicker mattress. The legs are at normal bed frame height and the frame itself provides the additional lift off the floor. The cover is easily installed, but I do recommend getting a screwdriver to help you stretch the loops. The loops do pinch a bit when attaching to the frame, but I was able to extricate my finger each time. Everything fits together with friction or spring pins. It took me under 40 minutes to assemble the bed frame. Unboxing and unwrapping the parts felt like it took longer. Again, I don't have a mattress for this frame yet, but the cover has a grippy material on top that I've had on bed skirts before. The mattress should happily stay put. I didn't lay on it but I did put a good portion of my 300 pounds on the frame and it didn't creak, groan, or buckle. This is more solid than the bed frame I'm currently sleeping on. The cover is nicely attached with elastic loops and shouldn't go anywhere either. This bed frame does not have any attachment points for a headboard. If you want a headboard or have one, it will have to be free-standing or tied to the wall. It's not a negative for me as this is a guest bed. It's a good value and very easy to assemble. If the cover gets soiled it is removable (you might need that aforementioned screwdriver) and shouldn't overload a normal washing machine. ... show more

  • Sturdy, easy to assemble, and attractive bed frame
Size: Queen Color: Navy Pattern Name: Mattress Foundation
I bought this 4 years ago and have recommended it so many times to friends and family over the years since then that I figured I should add a written review as well, because I would absolutely buy it again if I needed another bed frame. My favorite thing about it was the fact that it's basically a mattress frame, box spring, and bed skirt in one product which is extremely economical since you don't need to buy all of those separately. I also loved that it had wood legs for a more finished look, and the stain color even matched my headboard. It truly was simple to assemble by myself without needing a second person. The sections were all labeled to be able to match them up easily, the printed instructions were easy to follow, and it even included a rubber mallet for tapping them pieces into place, so no additional tools were needed. Also, the mallet wasn't just a wimpy disposable tool, so it was a great bonus item that I've used many times over the years since then. Another great detail is the fact that the slots that the crossbar rails snap into have rubber/plastic edges over the metal which both holds them snuggly in place and also prevents any noise or wear from metal rubbing against metal. Since I've had it 4 years now, I can confirm that it's held up very well and continued to be a sturdy frame. Since there are no screws to loosen over time, it's never developed any creaky noises or wobbles like other frames I've had before. Honestly, the only thing that I would have designed differently would have been to include a way to attach it to a headboard like most traditional bedframes do. This one didn't have any brackets for that, and they couldn't really be added later without cutting through the fabric cover and adding grommets or something similar to prevent the screws from tearing the fabric. Since my headboard was designed to hook onto a bedframe to keep it vertical, I ended up adding industrial strength adhesive velcro style strips on the back of the bed frame and the wall to keep the headboard from sliding around, and those in combination with the weight of the bedframe/mattress pushed up against it have worked fine. ... show more

  • Award-winning design for a reason!
Size: Queen Color: Grey Pattern Name: Mattress Foundation
After doing a lot of research on mattress foundations, I decided on this one. I was looking for a product that was sturdy, easy to assemble, affordable, and had good reviews from real people. To start with, I and a 5'3" female. I had no trouble moving the box from the front door to the bedroom that I planned to assemble it in. The box was definitely taller than me, but still light enough that I could maneuver it around by myself. The pieces are well packaged and labeled. The pictograph-styled instructions are super easy to understand. There was a rubber mallet included to help secure the pieces, but everything fit together so well that I didn't need to use it. After I made sure all the pieces were there, I had the frame assembled in less than 20 minutes. The cloth cover slipped on easily and I like that there are elastics around the edge to secure the cover to the frame and keep it from moving around. I love the simple wooden legs that come with it. There were a total of 9 and I'm happy that there are legs down the middle of the foundation for support. It gives it at least a 6in clearance from the ground which will allow my robovac to clean under the bed. The look is very clean and minimalistic. I got my heavy memory foam mattress on the frame and I didn't here a squeak. I'll test that more down the line. Overall, I'm really happy with this foundation and I think it was a great buy! ... show more

  • Headline: Drunk 5'4" Single Woman Assembles King Bed Alone And Nothing Broke
Size: King Color: Grey Pattern Name: Mattress Foundation
I ordered this because it looked and claimed to be easy to assemble. I live alone on the third floor of a big apartment complex, the kind where humans live in their little cubby holes in a row of cubbies. I wanted to eliminate the hauling I'd have to do as much as possible, and was delighted to find some poor UPS guy had delivered the 7 ft long box directly to my door. I was doubly-delighted because I was already a bottle of wine in that evening and I'm one of those cursed with the propensity to break things, sober or not. There are pictures of 2 men lifting all over the box, clearly indicating what was expected to do the job, so of course I grabbed the box and wrestled it into my apartment all by mahself, because #feminism or whatever. I should preface the remainder of this review by explaining that I may be all of 5'4" on a good day, but I'm also a competitive bodybuilder, so I can lift things and stuff, but once the bed was indoors, things got easier. So if you're all of 5'4" and not a bodybuilder, that first part may be hard, but I believe in you. The instructions were only two pages, but I wasn't upset. I mean, lately I've seen the furniture directions where the paper is one page with 100 different pieces depicted, with all the arrows pointing to them all going together, so the instructions are literally just, "Take all the parts and put them together, then done." Those make me want to hurt someone. But these instructions made all the sense. You take the big pieces, hook them into each other, and then you already have the base done, boom. They even supply a super cute little rubber mallet to make the process easier. Of course, I didn't see that until I had man-handled all the pieces into place and was sweating out all the wine. Then you drop the slats into place, easy peasy. But then, this slip cover.... Look, my one complaint is that it came with a tag that explained which way was forward, top, etc. on the slip cover, but the thing had fallen off and was sitting sadly in my hand while I stared blankly at the slip cover, not knowing which was was up, down, or sideways. So I had another sip (swig, chug...) of wine and began wrestling that damn thing on. Now I know from experience and can warn you that if the slipcover fitting feels impossible and makes you curse the fact that society thinks that mattresses on floors is unacceptable for functioning adults, you are probably putting it on wrong. I wrestled with it in 3 different directions until the last time, it finally seemed to fit right into place, and I realized I had it right finally. Hint: The zipper zips on top. Yeah, didn't realize that the first 2 times. The legs go on way easier than expected, right through pre-cut holes in the slip cover. And then BAM. I was suddenly an adult again and no longer sleeping on the floor. So if you're wondering if this will be as easy as it claims and work for you, the answer is probably yes. I might recommend the wine to go with the experience. Particularly, a good cabernet will help get the job done. Men not required. ... show more

Box appears to have taken a couple of shipping hits, but item was fairly well packaged otherwise. Box arrived in mailroom, and pretty heavy to carry to apartment. Once opened, the individual pieces were each light though. Easy enough to put together, just need to take time to look at graphical instructions and sort out the various frame components, and then start connecting. Most all went well together, except the #5 to #5 and #6 to #6 middle bar, I had to reverse it, i.e., #5 to sit in #6, because it would not fit well enough the other way. They include a rubber mallet. Thank You for that! This frame is sturdy and hard. Note: Do Not put a regular mattress on it. I did without my box spring and got the worse crick in my neck sleeping this way while waiting two days for a new mattress to be delivered. Frame is light enough, especially with the wooden legs, to move around on the floor. The cover is tight. It takes a little effort to get on, but it does fit snug. And is a nice addition. Only slight dissonance for me, was spending for the frame, the little assembly snafu, and that this frame - with all the supporting cross bars - mimics the hardness of a floor. Other than those, it's a pretty decent setup overall. ... show more

  • Fast and easy to assemble
Size: Queen Color: Grey Pattern Name: Mattress Foundation
So, son #1 needed a mattress foundation, and I'll be honest - I know very little about this type of bed. Mine is the old school, bed frame, box spring, mattress, so it seems strange to me to not have a box spring, but that seems to be what everything is going to. Anyway, I searched Amazon and this one came up pretty high on the list, and after checking out the reviews for a few along with reading the specifications, we went with this one. What it finally came down to was this one looked the most sturdy and the positive reviews outnumbered the critical by far. My son works some long days in the summer, so when the bed showed up, I fully expected it to wait until the weekend to be put together. Boy, did he prove me wrong. He pulled the box to his room and set to work. In less than an hour, he had everything together and was putting the sheets back on his mattress. No tools were needed, and he said the most complicated part was getting the cover over the frame, only because it's a tight fit. He did get it on by himself so it wasn't too complicated. Once it was all together, he bounced around on the bed to see how it would hold up and if it would move on the floor - we have hardwood, real hardwood, not the imitation stuff - and this thing did not budge. My son isn't a little fellow by any means. I call him my gentle giant for a reason, and that boy can tear up an anvil with a rubber mallet, but this bed held firm. It hasn't moved at all, and the younger boy has no problem running in and jumping on the bed just to wake up and annoy his older brother. So, I would say this mattress foundation is an excellent value for the money and we'd certainly recommend it. ... show more

  • So easy! So sturdy & well made! Purchased two!
Very impressed with the bed frame! Very solid materials...steel frame, solid wooden legs and well stitched, strong fabric cover. So easy to put together! I did it by myself & it probably took 15-20 minutes from pulling the pieces from the box, reading directions, to completion. No tools needed. Parts numbered & just slid/snapped together. They provide a rubber mallet to use, but I hardly needed it to complete the assembly. Might need it when we move if we take the beds apart to transport. We purchased 2 & the 1st fabric cover was just like a fitted sheet with elasticated edge that just slipped over the frame after the frame was completely assembled. However, the second fabric cover was a different style. It was not elasticated, it was more like a zippered sleeve that covers the whole frame, with holes for the legs to be screwedinto frame AFTER you put the cover on. I didn't realize the 2nd cover would be different, so I had to take the wooden legs back off to put the cover on. Not that much more complicated & looks the same from top & edges. I just recommend checking which type of cover you have to save yourself a bit of time before putting the legs on the frame. We actually purchased 2 because we were looking for the option to have 2 separated twin beds for our adult sons when they are home, or a king-sized bed (the two twins together) for other guests. The sides of the frame make this a perfect option because they are totally flat and push together like bowstring. The legs are far enough in that they don't interfere with pushing the beds together. Shipping was a bit of a problem. For some reason they were sent through the US postal service and could not be delivered by our mail carrier becausethey were "oversized" packages. I had to juggle work schedule & a vehicle to be able to pick them up from the post office, during peak post office season, Christmas week. Not sure why oversized packages were shipped via post office, but back to the positives, they were not too heavy or awkward. I managed to carry them myself. Very satisfied and the room is ready for Christmas. ... show more

  • Clever design. Remarkably easy to put together!
Size: Queen Color: Grey Pattern Name: Mattress Foundation
We got this platform for a spare bedroom based on the wonderful reviews and we were not disappointed. It came very well packaged in a very long box (albeit quite heavy), with all of the parts included. Anyone could put this together. It's very sturdy and supportive and has a nice clean look in the room. My only complaint is that it's pretty tall with the mattress on top. I prefer a bed that is lower to the ground, but that is on me for not reading the dimensions well enough. I would purchase this again and will refer other people to this bed. It's a wonderful, high-quality option for a very low price. ... show more
