I agree with the other buyers who recommend getting a wiper arm removal tool at the same time to help you get the assembly off the nut. Installation is quite basic but I had to go out and buy a removal tool at my local auto part store for double the price I would have paid from Amazon. Once I used the tool to get the assembly off, it took seconds to complete installation!

Perfect replacement for my Ford Edge rear wiper assembly. Very nicely packaged and all parts fit great. However, buyer should know that you may, probably, need a small gear puller to remove the arm from the brass bushing axle.

(Old School -- retired -- Mechanic Speaking Here)... This product is an excellent replacement, as far as I can tell by visual inspection. However, although it comes with a wrench and a replacement nut, there is something you MUST DO in order to replace the old broken wiper "mount." After you remove the nut (and I'd HIGHLY recommend pre-soaking it for an entire day with penetrating oil)... ***DO NOT TRY TO "PRY" THE MOUNT OFF*** after you remove the nut. At worst you will destroy the motor's shaft, which means "new motor." At best you will destroy the SEAL that is ON that motor shaft, and then water will enter the motor, and then you're back to the "worst case scenario" of a needing a new motor. YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST use a "Puller" tool to remove the old mount. Even the cheapest $5 dollar puller found in the "HELP" section of any auto parts store will do the job. THEN, while you're at the auto parts store, also buy some "Anti-Seize" grease. It will prevent rust from making it difficult to remove it again (including the nut itself). Make sure the new mount is pointing horizontally at a near perfect 45 degree angle to the right. (Simply take note of the exact position the old broken mount is in BEFORE you remove it WITH A PULLER). Again, do not even TRY to "pry it off" because you WILL damage either the motor's shaft or the water tight seal on the shaft. Do everything I've stated, and you'll be fine. If you use the "anti-seize" grease, replacing it the next time will be a breeze and won't even require penetrating oil presoak of the nut. Ps... I've already written enough, so I won't elaborate on the following, but there are reasons to be concerned about using the provided replacement ("hold down") NUT that is included in the kit. If your old nut is not damaged, I'd recommend re-using it. Just remember to use that 'anti-seize" grease. Do not "slather it" all over the shaft and threads. Use just enough of a "smear" that provides complete coverage is all that is necessary. --- Best of luck to you all.
