We purchased 2 variants of this mattress for my son's new bunk bed (twin over full). The full was the 8 inch ZINUS 8 Inch Green Tea Cooling Gel Memory Foam Mattress. So that has seen the most use. Its probably a bit overkill for a 5 year old. But we wanted something that we could lay in bed next to our child, and still be comfortable. We are now debating getting something similar for our own room. I think the 8 inch is perfect for that. We also got the 8 inch ZINUS 8 Inch Green Tea Essential Memory Foam for the top bunk. It hasn't seen the same amount of use. And maybe that is why I really can't tell the difference between the two. I think I like the gel model more, and its only like $10 between the two. We sleep a bit hot, and I do think the gel version helps. If you are deciding between the two, spend the extra $10 bucks. Its worth it. If you are looking to replace a mattress for an adult, I would suggest getting at least the 10 inch if not 12. I have slept in this 8 inch version a few times, and its well worth the price. But if we were to get a replacement king size for us adults, I think it would be well worth going to the 12 inch. I am 200 lbs and its not like I was maxing out the 8 inch. But I know there would be more support if the 12 inch was my daily mattress. I am scratching my head to try and figure out what you get different for some of these that are double the price or more. I do believe you could make a case for strong diminishing returns. They might be slightly better, but in comparison, not worth the cost. There were reviews about how well it expands. After about an hour, everything was almost completely expanded. Except for the corners. After a day or two, fully expanded, including the corners. And its very close to a full 8 inches. After about 6 months it still holds it's shape. The corners of the bed are not flattened like the other brand I had, and i do not have back pain after sleeping. There isn't any cons I could really mention, it's been pretty solid. Just remember to turn the mattress once a month.

The mattress is a bit firmer than expected, but it's still comfortable enough. Some of the corners did not fully expand, which makes the sheets not fit as well as I would like, and those corners do not lay flat on the bedframe.

I really love the mattress, it is a 5 inch twin size midum/soft support. I'm very pleased with its quality and comfort. The mattress is very light yet stable. This topper made my bed too soft for my husband and he refused to sleep on it lol. But to be warned it will raise up when you lay on the bed if your sheet doesn't hold it down well enough.

Bought a house that needs renovation so wanted to get a cheap bed for us while we stay there a few days at a time. Didn’t want to chance a blowup mattress so tried this instead. Mattress came in vacuum sealed bag, was ready to sleep on within 1-2 hours. Been sleeping on it 2.5 weeks and it’s absolutely great. Myself and my husband got great sleep on this. This mattress is super lightweight and firm. The mattress doesn’t move super firm even when the kids jump on it. I was able to use a simple cleaner and super easy to wipe. The mattress must be left for hours to rise to full size but super easy to set up. No noise and no mess. Love this mattress.
