  • Clarins is just LOVELY
Color: 100.4N Light beige with neutral undertones
I use all Clarins skincare, it is wonderfully pure, lightly scented, and effective in my very sensitive pale redhead face. I love the shade and coverage, but it can be streaky and definitely settles into lines, even with ALL of the prep. I still love it, though

  • It might be a little expensive but this foundation is gorgeous!
Color: 100.4N Light beige with neutral undertones
I have mature normal-to-dry skin. This foundation surprised me in the best way. I do not usually look for full coverage foundations but I am familiar with the Clarins brand and was eager to give it a try. My favored method of application for a liquid foundation is with a beauty sponge, and I found that applying a thin layer of this foundation to my skin and then blending out with a beauty blender gives me a gorgeous finish that evens out my skin tone. I think the damp sponge takes the coverage down to something more medium coverage, but I have also been able to use it sparingly to get the light coverage I prefer for day to day. It's buildable for days where I have skin concerns I'd like to hide. It's versatile, lightweight, comfortable on the skin, and wears gorgeously through my work day. It also survives the summer heat somehow. Clarins really has a beautiful foundation formula with this product, I totally recommend it to anyone with a similar skin type as me. ... show more

  • Shade range could be better and is a little chalky
Color: 100.4N Light beige with neutral undertones
I got the lightest shade of this foundation. It's a good spring/summer shade for me, when I get a little color back to my skin. My normal foundation is the NARS light reflecting in Oslo, for reference, and it's a little too pale on me. This has the same problem in the other direction - it's a bit yellow (but I can make it work). I definitely couldn't use this foundation in the colder months when I get paler. My other problem is the finish of this foundation. It's not terrible, but I don't love it. It's a bit chalky looking. I think that's just a result of it being a full-coverage matte foundation, but it's giving 2016 in an unpleasant way. I think the best way to use this foundation is on extremely well-moisturized skin, use little product, and buff it out with a brush. This isn't bad, but I had higher hopes. ... show more

  • Blends!
Color: 100.4N Light beige with neutral undertones
I was not expecting this foundation to have a lush, feminine floral scent! I think it is pleasant, but know some people are sensitive to fragrances. The product is very lightweight and creamy, and goes on with a glowy finish. It gave my skin a smooth, even appearance and didn't transfer to my clothes when changing, didn't clog my pores, and washed away at the end of the day. I am very naturally pale (Winter tone) so the 100.4N color worked great for me -- there are 24 different shades to choose from! I've heard Clarins is a premium brand with great products. Love that the ingredients are mostly natural and also use the "TRUST" traciblity technology. I was glad to see they are Eco Friendly, the glass bottle is really nice. Also that it is Oil Free, Sulfates SLS & SLES Free, Mineral Oil Free, Phthalate Free, Paraben Free (and a whole-bunch-of-other-stuff Free!) I honestly know nothing about foundation or make-up in general, but I'm over 40 and have some spots on my aging skin that I wanted to try to camouflage. I rarely wear any makeup, so I was excited to try out this $52 foundation because it isn't something I would typically buy. Very thankful a little bit goes a long way, as I'm not sure I could justify spending this amount on make-up. If your budget is more forgiving, this is a great product and definitely worth the investment! ... show more

  • Wears Beautifully All Day
Color: 100.4N Light beige with neutral undertones
This Clarins Skin Illusion foundation is really great! I love makeup, so I've tried many foundations over the years. This one is very high quality. I have fair, cool-toned skin. The lightest shade in most liquid foundation shade ranges typically works for me, so I selected the "100.4N" shade. This shade works well for me! It looks very slightly yellow when swatched on my skin, but after I blend it into my face, it matches my skin tone well. This is a full coverage foundation that can be built up or blended out for a more natural look. I like applying it with my fingers or with a foundation brush (if I use a foundation brush, though, it can get a bit streaky if I apply multiple layers). I have dry skin, and this has a satin, skin-like finish on me. I love that it doesn't sink into the lines on my face, even throughout the day. It almost makes my skin look airbrushed. Other makeup also looks great on top of it. This foundation wears all day long, even if I don't use setting powder or setting spray. I find it to be smudge and transfer resistant, but if I don't set it with a powder, a small amount does come off on my finger if I directly touch my face. That happens with pretty much any liquid foundation that isn't completely matte, though, so I don't mind. It has a pleasant, floral fragrance that's not overpowering. The bottle is pretty, with a shiny cap. It is thin and tall, so it looks like it contains less product than your average foundation, but it actually still contains the standard 1 fluid oz. I really like this! It's great for everyday wear, and I think it will work for most skin types. ... show more

  • Pale Olives Rejoice! A true neutral pale foundation! 100.4N.
Color: 100.4N Light beige with neutral undertones
I have a very pale olive tone, but my cheeks and chin have a touch of rosacea, so makeup artists and clerks often steer me towards cool foundations, which look very pink on me. When I'm not flaring up on my cheeks, I am told I am warm toned, and given yellow based foundations which make me look like a lead Simpsons character in photos. This foundation does NOT oxidize on me, and doesn't give me a pink or yellow cast - it appears to be a true neutral! In the bottle it will look gray/green tinted. Don't be alarmed. Once applied it will work beautifully to balance your skintone. If you constantly flip flop between warm and cool shades you might be an olive. :) The foundation itself is a pump bottle which I appreciate. It is full coverage and a little goes a long way. On me it dries a little dewy/sticky and can be hard to build up without looking streaky. I set with a transluscent powder, as the dewy look on my mature skin makes me look sweaty and brings out my lines, but with a setting powder looks phenomenal and airbrushed. It has a unique sweet scent, that fades quickly. I would re-buy and recommend. ... show more

  • Gorgeous full coverage without feeling heavy!
Color: 100.4N Light beige with neutral undertones
This foundation has quickly become my favorite of all I've tried - and I've tried a lot of foundations! I have somewhat dry/combo skin with a lot of redness and uneven tone. I prefer a fuller coverage foundation to cover the redness and make my face a bit more even-looking, as opposed to using a lot of color correction. This Clarins Skin Illusion Longwear sits SO nicely on my skin. It's full coverage but isn't heavy at all. It doesn't appear cakey or like a mask. It makes my skin look luminous - bright and smooth - and it doesn't oxidize or quickly "dissolve" over the course of the day. I'm loving this foundation! ... show more

  • Great
Color: 100.4N Light beige with neutral undertones
Love this foundation! The formula is creamy, blendable, full coverage and lasts all day on my combination oily skin. The only downside is the scent of this is quite strong in my opinion and lingers quite a bit so I find myself not reaching for this as often as I want to. The color matching though was spot on so the images are true to color. I will continue to use this but maybe on days my allergies aren't acting up. ... show more
