I have had the same mattress for the past 5 years, and it came to me already five years old. I admit, as a night owl I didn't consider that I might have a more challenging time going to sleep at night because my bed was uncomfortable. I got a mattress topper for Christmas, and it helped a bit, but I didn't notice a huge difference. When my friend mentioned she'd bought a new mattress under similar circumstances, I began searching for a new one immediately. As a student, I obviously cannot really afford to drop $1000 on those fancy mattresses people kept recommending. The Zinus mattress caught my eye because A) it was recommended on just about every site I looked for "High-quality, affordable mattresses," and B) I have a 2-year-old Zinus bedframe that I love and has served me so well. I've had the mattress for a few days now and although it arrived a bit too firm for my liking, it has since softened. Granted, I spent some time walking on it to break it down faster. I expect the mattress to become even softer as it continues to modify to my body shape. Mattress preferences are extremely subjective, but for a 120-pound female, this mattress feels heavenly to me. I've been so excited about how it feels that I'm spending a lot of time in my bed and trying to go to bed earlier. I'm biased toward the brand but I will modify this review if I notice the quality of the mattress degrading. It’s been six months since I purchased this mattress and it has been such a game changer. It’s so comfy that it’s sent me down a rabbit hole of getting new, equally as comfy bedding to accommodate it. My bed is my favorite place in the world right now. I think for me this seemed like one of those too good to be true things because a mattress in a box is a weird concept for sure, but I’ve not had a single issue with it in the time I’ve had it. To anybody on the fence, there’s so many mattresses out there that purport to be one thing or another or the best in the business and the truth is it’s so subjective. I’ve been using the ZINUS 10" Green Tea Cooling Memory Foam Mattress (new fiberglass-free version) for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed. It arrived quickly, was well-packaged, and expanded fully within a day. There was a very light scent at first, but nothing unpleasant—and it faded quickly. The comfort level is just right for me—supportive but with enough softness to relieve pressure on my shoulders and hips (I’m mostly a side sleeper). It conforms nicely without feeling like I’m sinking in too much. I also appreciate the cooling layer—it doesn't sleep hot like other memory foam mattresses I’ve tried. One of the biggest reasons I chose this model was the fact that it’s fiberglass-free. That gave me real peace of mind, especially since I’ve read horror stories about older models with fiberglass. No issues here at all. Overall, this mattress delivers great value for the price. These were purchased to go in our guest room for first-time visitors to our new home. Both women said they were comfortable and that they slept well on them. The mattresses fit well on the twin frames and after a couple days, relaxed to their totally flat position. I highly recommend them.

I’ve only had this mattress for a few days so my review could change in a few months. I will come back later with an update. But for now, I will say that it is as advertised. It’s a very comfy mattress, slightly firmer than I like, but I don’t want it to be too soft and sink in. It was easy to take out of the plastic, and it began to inflate the instant it was removed. There was no bad smell at all. It is slightly larger than my queen box platform that went with my old queen mattress however, that’s a plus for me. My sheets fit perfectly and the cover that I purchased for it also fit perfectly. I could not sit on the side of my bed with my old mattress, but I can sit on the side of this bed as long as I sit back and let my legs tangle from my knees. So far, I think it’s a great mattress and I would recommend the purchase for anyone. ... show more
