The top half fits a little too loose but will pass. If I need to order again, I probably will order one size down for her. The size 12 to 14 for my 16 year old is a little loose on the top half, but fit well enough to dance in. She is pretty slim. I love the feel of this dress for price. The bottom half has extra fabric that will look beautiful when you dance and spin in it. My daughter is 5 and the dress was perfect length wise, just a bit loose in the top half and sleeves. More sizing options would be great for smaller kids
