We bought this to help my husband see Savannah and it did so great! If you know Savannah you know how uneven the roads and curbs are. This took those with any problem! And the battery lasted a long time. We have an extra battery just incase. But didn’t need it until the second day.

This scooter is practically perfect in every way, except for one potentially fatal flaw. Good points: zippy, fun, fabulously tight turning radius, highly responsive steering and throttle control, feels stable on most built surfaces, brakes quickly, can apparently go a lot faster than I want to go, the tiller arm can be moved into a comfortable position and locked to stay at the right angle, vehicle is lightweight enough that my late 70's husband can get it in and out of the car without trouble, small underseat basket is a secure place to keep a small purse, armrests helpful and can easily be tilted out of the way when getting on and off the scooter, folds quite compactly, approved for air travel. Bad point: Getting on and off is moderately dangerous because there's nothing stable to hold on to. There is a desperate need for a way to lock the handle steering bars so you can hold on and be braced while stepping onto the scooter. (Note: if you were stable and agile enough to safely do this without something functioning like a grab bar, you probably wouldn't need the scooter in the first place.) It would also be good if the arm rests didn't move once you've lowered them into position. Last thing to note: some reviewers write about reclaiming independence. I can't see how any power scooter or wheelchair could be gotten in and out of a car and unfolded by a person with a disability requiring the scooter or wheelchair. I wish I could go solo sometimes and free my husband. But I haven't been able to figure out how that would be possible for anyone with my disability. ... show more

I took this on my cruise. It was perfect, easy to go to and from the airplane, light weight and folded up so easy. I had about 7 people ask where I got it. This scooter was very easy to lift, fold and unfold. We chose it because of its Weight, the 275lb capacity and the travel bag accessory. Just returned from a cruise and airline flights. The travel bag worked out perfectly. On the cruise, it easily fit through the cabin entry doors. The battery did not need charging for the entire trip. At the airport we checked the scooter, minus the battery which we put into our carry-on. We received the scooter at baggage claim. The battery was stored (fit perfectly along with charger) in a VERA BRADLEY lined cosmetic bag that we had. Checking in on the Cruise ship was no problem, as was leaving. I had a few questions and called Zii ROBERT. Customer service answered my call quickly and explained what I wanted to know. Thank you Ben!
