Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The electric scooter has garnered mixed reviews but leans towards the positive side, with users praising its fast shipping, easy assembly, and overall contribution to a better quality of life. It offers excellent mobility assistance, allowing people to engage more in outdoor activities with family. However, there are a few downsides noted such as difficulty with off-road terrain, a poor turning radius, and safety concerns over stability and the potential for tipping on uneven surfaces.

Pros

  • 🚚 Fast shipping and easy assembling process
  • 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Enhances quality of life by enabling more outdoor family time
  • 🔋 Efficient battery life for extended rides
  • 💪 Suitable for users up to 300 pounds and works well on inclines
  • 🚗 Portable, with some models easily fitting into an SUV for transport

Cons

  • ⚠️ Struggles with off-road terrain and has safety concerns over tipping
  • ↩️ Poor turning radius restricts maneuverability
  • ⚖️ Some find it too heavy to lift, despite being marketed as portable
  • 🛠️ Issues with front-wheel alignment and stability, especially on uneven surfaces

Should I Buy It?

If your primary need is for an electric scooter that offers enhanced mobility for everyday activities on predominantly flat and paved surfaces, this could be a great option. It's particularly beneficial for those looking to spend more outdoor time with family and require a sturdy, albeit slightly heavy, scooter that can handle inclines well. However, if you anticipate frequent off-road adventures or need a scooter with a tight turning radius, it might not meet your expectations. Assess your specific needs and weigh them against the scooter’s limitations before purchasing.

  • Great, but very poor turn radius
Style: Model8
The shipping was very fast, and I was very pleased. It was very easy to assemble for my husband. I can’t lift heavy things but 60 pounds is really not that bad for my husband so he sets it up for me easily. I took it on a ride yesterday and it was great. I wasn’t able to walk far but this is, allowing me to have a far greater quality of life with spending time with my own little kids. I’m really glad I made the jump to get an electric scooter is worth all my money. It is hard for the scooter to go off-road, and with ridges and over ridges , but if you are on a flat surface like gravel or a paved road, it should be no problem. I probably went at least three or 4 miles yesterday and one battery bar was consumed. I would say that it is a very poor, turning radius, that is probably it’s Only flaw, but I don’t know what the turning radius is like with other electric scooters, but it is far more powerful than the grocery store, electric scooters even if the grocery store electric scooters have a really great turning radius. I would much have the power so I can go on hikes with my kids outdoors . It helps when you’re going up an incline period to have the higher power setting. ... show more

  • Best mobility scooter ever
Style: Model8
I needed something to go to the mall with and to use on vacations as well. I've studied mobility scooters for some time and this is the one I finally chose. I have to be able to pick up 68 pounds to get it in the back of our SUV. I can do that. But, I have also devised a way to put the front wheels into the back of the SUV and then lift the back end up into the SUV. Of course that is after I have put the back of the seat down and maneuvered the handle bars down too. It's easier than it sounds. I love this scooter. ... show more

  • Buyer's Beware
Style: Model6
Purchased this scooter in December, and unfortunately, it turned out to be defective right out of the box. Not only was the product faulty, but when I tried to return it, I encountered a nightmare of customer service with Luppo Life. After reaching out to them regarding the issue, they initially tried to offer some fixes but unfortunately it couldn't be resolved. They emailed me a return label and arranged for the scooter to be picked up by FedEx and this is where the bigger problems began. Weeks went by with no communication; it was discovered the return address emailed by the seller (Luppo Life) was apparently incorrect and was delivered elsewhere. However, they operate with a different company name (Rubicon Mobility) and it was the correct address. After reaching out to the seller multiple times they refuse to acknowledge they emailed the 'incorrect' return address label and because the seller initiated communication outside of Amazon, customer support is unable to help as they have no record of what was communicated therefore the A-to-Z Guarantee will not help you. My advice is the following if you are ever thinking of buying from them; 1. Read reviews of all their products of customers who had issues. 2. If you notice any defects, ask for a refund immediately and don't even bother giving them a chance to resolve the issue because chances are they won't. 3. When you initiate a refund or ask for support, they will ask you to call them which is the number for Rubicon Mobility. Do NOT call them and make sure all communication goes through Amazon. At the moment, I am left with no product and no refund from either the seller or Amazon. ... show more

  • Super great customer service after the Sale
Style: Model6
I would highly recommend the seller MOdest. Their customer service was prompt in their reply and shipping of new parts that were broken during shipping through no fault of their own. Received replacement parts two days later and they were easy to fix. Do not hesitate to make a purchase through this company as their replies were same day and resolution to issues were handled professionally and rapidly within hours. My husband loves his new Darkshadow mobility scooter and it has given him additional freedom to enjoy life. It fold easily in seconds to the size of a suitcase and can be transported easily. Thank you for a great transaction. ... show more

  • Fair product
Style: Model8
I reviewed mini scooters before purchasing this one. I primarily purchase it because it said that it would accommodate up to 300 pounds. It has three levels of speed which is very helpful especially when going up inclines. It weighs at least 62 pounds getting out of the car, but it is still too heavy for me. ... show more

  • Power to climb
Style: Model8
I am 6’2” and weigh 260 pounds. I have bought eBikes and have been disappointed because they have very little torque to climb. I am very pleased by the ability of this scooter to climb. Most handicapped ramps are 12 degrees or less, and this scooter is designed for that purpose. I have used it on much higher grades without a problem. A negative is the alignment of the front wheels. That can be corrected by loosening the nuts on the tie rods and making an adjustment. The folding design makes the rear wheels very close together making it feel unstable, so the scooter is best used on level surfaces. The design is also very rear heavy. If you move the seat back, put the speed on high, and give it full throttle you could wind up popping a wheelie. I lean forward whenever going up an incline. Overall, I’m very pleased with the scooter. ... show more

Very good scooter moves well with heavy weight. Have a concern in relation to the distance between the rear wheels which is too short in relation to speed and turning that could cause overturning.

i want to first off say we bought this for a group bus tour we will make this summer as his pride mobility scooter is to big to put under the bus. when we received our scooter, after unboxing my husband noticed one of the valve stem( they are brass) on the front right tire was bent and crimped. we called the 800 number customer service, was told take a picture we did and the response was BEND IT BACK in place and fill with air. then we took it out for a test drive well needless to say this scooter is not very safe, a 2 inch gap in the sidewalk caused the scooter to tip over, not very safe. i wish i read the return policy before buying 500.00 or 50% restocking fee and i have to pay shipping back to company. this scooter is a total wast of money ... show more
