These chews are fantastic! I originally got them when my husky began having separation anxiety in her crate after we went through a big move. We since have rescued another dog who is very skittish, and have given them to him as well. Whether it's needed while being crated at the house or taking the pups traveling/into a more stressful situation, these chews work wonders. They seem to be effective, and make our skittish rescue able to calm down and act like a normal dog rather than being petrified at any noise or movement. They didn't make them lethargic like others I have tried, nor did it bother their stomach. Highly recommend!

I got this product to help my dog calm down and not be as stressed at his vet appointments and for the Fourth of July this year. Whenever I step foot into the vet office, he starts trembling a lot even though I'm holding him. However after taking this product, he trembles a lot less. It is definitely an improvement compared to how he normally was. I also gave it to my pup for the Fourth of July this year (today actually) and it helped as well. We can hear some fireworks from my house (albeit it's not too loud due to the distance), and he has been startled and a bit anxious even from the small noise the past few years. However this year, nothing. No response at all and he's sleeping through it! (Please note that he didn't have a huge reaction to fireworks to begin with, just a bit anxious, since the noise wasn't too loud). So it has definitely been a positive experience for my pup. Definitely satisfied. I don't plan to give it to him regularly, and only give it to him in events like these :)

We have an 80 pound dog that has separation anxiety and fear of the telephone ringer, doorbell, loud noises, etc. Before you ask, we have changed all these sounds and nothing works. I give 1/2 chew in the morning with food and this seems to calm her down to help with the sound issues during the day. We only use 1 chew about an hour before we leave the house when being away for more than 1 hour. The neighbors have noticed that she does not howl as much so I think it is a win. We can give her up to 2 chews for her weight but 1 seems to do the trick for our dog.

We have a 13 lb Shihpoo . We wanted these to help with grooming & when we take him out with us.We gave him 1 chew waited an hour with no results, so we gave him a 2nd chew …. Finally after 1 1/2 hours he took a short nap. Not the results we had hoped for.

We use the turkey with melatonin for our rescue dog who doesn’t like thunder and fireworks. She is still alert but not bug eyed and crying. Thats a huge difference! These do work! Our dog that it helps the most is about a 70lbs rescue pit bull and she takes 3 at once. Works every time! She really seems less tense when she takes them, if there isn’t anything too loud happening she will usually go to sleep for 1-3 hours.

First of all, no canine supplement could even have a chance to work if your dog wont take it or doesn't like the taste. No worries with Zesty Paws Calming Bites! My six year old pitbull loves them! She treats them like high value rewards getting excited as soon as I pick up the package. And, they don't smell awful like so many canine edibles. Secondly, I truly doubted that a natural plant based product could offer any benefit to my "Nervous Nellie", but was I wrong. Zesty Paws as a company had come strongly recommended by our veterinarian. She suggested I do a little research about their products, and so I began. I was against the use of prescription medications due to their many side effects, and if there was a possible natural product that offered safe, effective and consistent benefit I needed to know. The evaluations of Zesty Paws calming bites were positive and consistent. Again, I wanted safe efficacy that gave a consistent benefit and that my dog would actually take. I found that in Zesty Paws Calming Bites! Here's our experience. After ONE DAY (two doses for my size dog), it was clearly apparent that they gave her a calming effect. First, she stopped "nibbling" on her paws. Then, the stress yawning and trembling totally disappeared. She was much more engaging, relaxed and playful. It was truly amazing! And, there was NO sedation, lethargy or sleepiness! NONE! I was so skeptical about using a nutraceutical product, considering them a scam. Not Zesty Paws Calming Bites. They worked! They proved to be not only effective, but consistently effective. There were no sedation or sleepiness, just a clear, safe, consistent desired response without the myriad side effects of prescription medications. Look, you may have doubts about the potential benefit(s) of this type of product. I get it. I certainly was. But i hope you will at least give this product a try. You have nothing to loose and everything to gain. And, after my pups success with the Calming Bites, I was motivated to investigate Zesty Paws other products. We tried their supplement for allergies and immune concerns and were equally surprised and grateful for their effectiveness. Clearly, Zesty Paws is a reputable company with proven safe and effective products!

The dog eats these well, but it doesn't so much in the way of actual calming. I was hoping it would be enough to take a 2 hour flight but unfortunately I think he's going to have to be sedated.
