I was skeptical that this would be any better than others, but I have to say I was shocked as soon as I started to use it. This scoop went through ice cream like it was hot butter. It formed a perfect ball without even trying. I needed this for a small ice cream shop window in my store. We had just got 2 new scoops that were commercial grade and they broke after 2 uses. We have the full setup, with a scoop well with running water too, so that wasn’t even helping. This just went right through like nothing. It’s solid and seems like it will last. It was slightly discolored, but that’s ok since it’s going to happen anyways. Hardest part will be making sure no one puts it in a dishwasher. I am already ordering a second one. Excellent scoop. I bought 5 for use in my ice cream parlor. The consistency of scooping the same size scoop of ice cream is the best feature. Also, it is much easier to carve through hand-dipped ice cream tubs than most other scoops. The consistency of the size of the scoop it provides helps minimize waste. My daughter read a good review of this ice cream scooper and asked for it for Christmas. She got it and it does an excellent job of getting hard, frozen ice cream out and onto a place. But the first one we bought had a manufacturing defect which left a sharp little ridge of metal along the edge of the scooper which cut her when she used it. We returned it, but my daughter was willing to take the chance on ordering a replacement as it worked well except for the fact that it drew blood. Her new one didn’t have the defect and she and her scooper are now living happily ever after. ... show more
