Lots of reviews complained that this was not study enough for a full size basketball. I agree. However, knowing that, I still bought it because I have a 4 year old. We only use a smaller ball and this is perfect for it. it's not the most sturdy, but honestly, it's a short rim and portable. You can put some bricks and cinder blocks on it if you need extra stability. I ordered this basketball goal for my 8 year old son and I am happy I did. My son is pretty tall for a 8 year old but this goal is perfect for him and his friend. It's really durable as well. I'm super satisfied!

    • Flimsy backboard... but good for smaller or lighter basketballs
Good for the cost and for my 4yr old. The backboard is very flimsy and already tilts forward a little, so we won't practice a lot of bank shots with an official sized basketball.

    • Wheels lack being secure by design
Backboard is smaller than I expected. When maneuvering for relocation the axle allows wheels to come free. Will double-check to see if there is a way to secure the axle to the movable base.

The pros: it arrived on time, it was fun to play with our 5 & 9 year old. We purchased a set of mini basketballs which were a hit with our play dates. Cons: It didn’t last a year. We kept it in our driveway and although LA doesn’t get much rain it was enough to add damage and cause our backboard to deteriorate. I wish I would have taken a picture to show you how the background faded and crumbled. The net is really cheap so I purchased a better net on Amazon that worked so much better. This is a great size for a 4-9 year old and its easy to change the height of the post. Assembly is a bit of a challenge --take time to think about how it goes together. The directions are not easy to figure out. It is easier to assemble with a helper. We gave as a gift so we assembled before giving, kids started playing right away. This is the 3rd hoop we assembled in varying sizes and it took us the longest to do. - be sure to get the basketball that is the correct weight for the player. ... show more

    • Broke after less then 4 days use.
Didn't expect much for less then $65. But 4 days and the wheel is shattered, the pin/rod kept coming out anyway because it was not long enough to secure both the wheels, and there was nothing to hold the pin in place. There is also a hole in the base so the water leaks out. Not even worth the $65. Save the $65 and get a better one, like Lifetime or Spalding on sale or a used one in good shape. ... show more

Assembly was as expected. It wasn’t difficult, but it wasn’t the easiest. I certainly wouldn’t let the assembly keep you from purchasing this hoop. We use it indoors and at its highest setting, it fits well with our 9ft ceilings. Our kids love the full size rim. I use weights in a backpack to hold it sturdy as opposed to water because I don’t want it to drop on my floors and it has been sufficiently sturdy. I would recommend this product! ... show more
