  • It works very well, If ...
You're welcome in advance! I don't write many reviews, but it's because the score on this doesn't match the usefulness of the tool. I'll break it down to make it easy for you to see if it will work in you situation. Expectations: I expected to get this tool, screw it on just any pole and scrape out the cuts on my driveway, clean out pavers crevice, and between boards in my deck. Did it work well? Sure did, but take into account a few things: ‐ To get the right angle and leverage I had to bend over and use my back - I absolutely needed a sturdy wooden or metal pole with a metal screw on tip. This is a must. Anything else wont hold up when I yank on it. If you have plastic or flimsy pole, move on. Or buy a nice pole with it. - concrete is the toughest thing to clean. The weeds come out, but with effort and some skill. It takes a second to get a hang of it. How did I do it to work well? - use the short tip 1st. Push 1st, pull back and forth a few times. Yank to finally tug out the weeds/grass. Use the longer end to get deeper - there will be rocks in the crevice. Tug and it either pops it out or straightened my line. Both are wins. - I had to tighten it a few times on my driveway. For goodness sake, I'd expect that since I'm yanking the ish outta it. I may eventually use a screw. It makes sense though because I'm using a push pull while also using perpendicular force downward. It is heavy steel though. My metal pole end might give out before the tip/tool does. Its sturdy. - I can finally it through some slightly crooked cracks, but that's probably power washer territory. - I caught myself out of alignment with the crevice and it got caught more. - it took me about 15 min to get good at this. With a little TLC, some stick-to-it-ness, and strategy my driveway looks sweet. - it's metal, friction and concrete. It should last a long time, but probably not the tool you lass to the kids. :-) 5 stars, but if you set it up right, expect it to be doing a little work, and expect to pull out a couple of weeds by hand, you're straight. Solid tool. ... show more

  • Best tool ever if you secure it to the pole with Gorilla (or duct) tape
Best tool ever. Last time I prepped my deck to stain it, I ended up with a sore back—and worse yet, tennis elbow that lasted almost a year—from using a screwdriver, paint scraper, and metal drywall applicator to scrape out the gunk between the boards. The tool of choice depended on how wide the spacing was in different places. With this new tool, I completed the job on the whole deck in 20 minutes, using only this tool and a leaf blower. Many reviewers note that the tool can come loose. I followed another reviewer’s advice, but instead of putting electrical tape over the handle threads, I used gas pipe Teflon tape. It filled the gaps and made the tool more secure. Even then, it backed out occasionally because I was putting it to hard work. A wrap of Gorilla tape solved that issue, and after that, the tool needed no adjustments at all during the job. I love the multiple thicknesses, different lengths, and the hook on the blades that helps pull debris out. If I could give this product seven stars, I would. ... show more

  • Very useful
The tool fits loose on the handle threads but simply apply masking tape to threads on pole before screwing the tool on the threads. It helps alot. Worth the Money

  • Works well when it stays on!!!
I have to agree with the other reviewers, this tool works wonders but impossible to keep on ANY handle. I gave it 3 stars because it works really well before falling off. I cleared my entire driveway of caked up grass that was growing btw the cracks. Of course, I had to stop often and hammer this tool back down but it did the job. I tried duck tape, rope and even thought of drilling a screw in my broom stick to hold it on because nothing else is working! JB Weld may be my next go to or have a friend weld it on to an iron pole, which is how it should have come in the first place. ... show more

  • Did not work very well
Does not stay screwed on to the threaded pole and twists with each pull. The angle of each of the hooked teeth don’t really dig into the crack and slides over the debris. I wish that it would have worked.

  • This worked better than I imagined
I have a 15 foot long x 4 foot wide walkway. I installed this walkway about 20 years ago. The polymer sand I used in the joints were no longer existent. It was pretty much dirt that weeds would easily grow into the joints. I'm alot older now than 20 years installation time, so I wasn't looking forward to be in my hands and knees to scrape these joints out. I have a bad lower back now so having a pole and do in standing relieved alot of stress on my back. I needed the weeds and the sand out. This crevice device worked perfectly. A user tip that worked for me that sped up the process is I taped the 1/4 in side with blue tape so I could use that quickly on any large gaps. Then I'd flip to the 1/8 in side to use and scrap any weeds out of the joints. If you went by eye you really can't distinguish between 1/4 and 1/8 in, thus, the blue tape. As far as durability it held up well for the whole job. After I scraped all the joints I then used a leaf blower to blow everything away. Now, when installing on a threaded pole I recommend to use a wooden one, you do have to put some pressure into this. I feel a plastic pole would snap. You can beat the price either, I already have a threaded wooden pole, so this made it super cheap. Overall, this was a lifesaver for me and I highly recommend. ... show more

  • Works great!
I always hated trying to clean between the slats of my deck. Sitting down, crawling around with something thin enough yet strong enough was a pain. This I can just put on the end of a broom handle and walk around cleaning between the slats. While my husband was power washing the deck yesterday, I handed this to him and he loved it. Made the job so much faster and easier. ... show more

  • Weak threaded attachment.
It works but i found it difficult for it to stay on the handle. I tested it on three different expandable handles. Even though it is threaded, no matter how much I torque I apply, it loosens during use. If only the threaded part was enclosed I could at least use an adhesive to lock it in place. Customer service was good. ... show more
