I cannot say enough good things about these chews. Our 10-yr-old, 140lb Great Pyrenees started showing signs of distress and anxiety a couple months ago. The vet prescribed an NSAID, thinking the cause was pain from arthritis, but it didn’t do anything for his clear discomfort. We’ve given him other hemp chews in the past, and even human CBD supplements given his size, and they’ve had okay results, but the dog chews didn’t seem strong enough for him and the human ones were prohibitively expensive. I bought these hoping “advanced strength” would work and, wow, did they deliver. Our dog is back to his old, chill self and I could not be happier. I was a little concerned that these would just knock him out and create a false sense of resolution, but he’s still excited and peppy on walks (well, as “peppy” as a Great Pyr ever is… ha), and even when he’s in an apparent deep slumber, he’ll still rouse to roll over for lazy belly rubs as we walk by. They’re apparently tasty because he eats them like treats on their own or on top of his food and they act pretty quickly- usually within about 15 minutes. I’m SO glad we found these. Thank you for giving us our dog back!

I have subscribed to shipments of this product for awhile now, this is obviously a product we feel safe giving to our dogs. I have two dogs - an older dog who experiences situational anxiety (fireworks, firearms, motorcycles) and a younger dog who has a lot of general anxiety. For my dog who suffers less, this product is very effective. In Florida, fireworks accompany most major holidays, so keeping my dog on these in peperation does wonders. For my dog who suffers more, this product is not as effective and does not help as much, but I do notice a minor difference, especially when it comes to social situations. However, she loves the taste of the treats and darts into the room when she hears the jar being rattled, so in that way they are very effective at getting her to drop her anxiety for a moment! In order for these to work, they must be taken consistently. While the cost doesn't break the bank, it can be pricey continuing to buy them over time, I especially notice this when I am buying them for two dogs. I would appreciate larger containers that hold more soft chews, this would make using this product as intended less of an incontinence. Overall, I recommend this product to anyone looking to provide their dogs with a bit of stress relief - just keep in mind that it's going to be an acquired smell when opening these containers!

My dog has anxiety so I bought this to relax him at nighttime ,when his anxiety is the worse. It worked the first two nights but by the 3rd night it didn’t work. It is a good option to occasionally calm your dog but not a daily option. My dog is a Maltese, I don’t know if it’s breed specific but it didn’t work as I intended to.

I have a shih tzu that is terrified of thunderstorms. I give her a double dose about 45 minutes before a storm is going to hit and it calms her down. She is still very aware of the storm, but she is not shaking uncontrollably or pacing back and forth. She is calm, but still alert and she loves the taste of the chews.
