I installed this battery in my 2006 Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI 2-Up, and it fit correctly. The fit is snug, but it does fit without any modifications. It arrived charged and ready, battery provided strong starting power and has performed well during the first couple of days of use. The only issue I ran into was with the battery terminal hardware. The terminals use a square nut that has to be held in place while the screw catches the threads. In the tight battery compartment on my ATV, this was frustrating because the thickness of the factory cable ends left very little room to get the screw started. Including slightly longer screws or redesigning the terminal hardware would make installation much easier. Pros: Fits a 2006 Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI 2-Up. Strong starting power. Sealed AGM design. Good value for the price. Cons: Terminal hardware is difficult to assemble in tight spaces. Slightly longer terminal screws would make installation much easier. Overall, I'm happy with this battery. Installation took a little extra patience because of the terminal design, but once installed it has worked exactly as expected. I'd recommend it, especially if you don't mind spending a few extra minutes getting the terminal hardware connected. ... show more

YTX14-BS battery and arrival condition in the first two months

The YTX14 – BS battery for my Honda ATV, which is a TRX 450 ESHO it came with 12.9 V which is fully charged. Yes you have to use a pick tool to get the nut to lineup with the bolt but I have had no issues in two months. I do have a battery tender 1.25 V wire in between the connection. The bolt was still long enough and a little dielectric grease I run the headlights on high and the LED bar I installed it starts like the day I bought it. It is a 2003 with about 600 miles on it and 450 hours my uncle owned it he bought it brand new and gave it to me when he sold his house in Wisconsin so I’ve had it as I stated for about two months issue free when I put my Fluke voltage tester on it. It’s always at 12.8 V or 12.9 V. I do plug it in sometimes to the battery tender sometimes I do not when I do not that’s when I will see 12.8 only drops a tiny bit not even a full volt so I don’t know. Maybe it’s in there quality control because my battery is top notch so far the first two months anyway I’ll re-up the review after a year the battery that came out of there my uncle had written on the side of it nine of 17 that means it lasted nine years and it was some op name brand Battery, which I don’t remember what it was but I put the name in Amazon and on the Internet and it did not come up so I couldn’t buy the same exact battery. I did call Yamaha. They did give me a part number and said that as long as I use the YTX 14.– BS it would be the same exact size and fit right in the space that was left for the battery and it did exactly fit correctly. Not sure why all the other bad reviews but mine definitely is excellent so far. If you guys do do your homework, it does say that these types of batteries need some sort of charging well. They are parked if not driven every day which mindset sometimes weeks before I jump back on it again other times there’s days I use it all the time thanks, BD ... show more
