Features

  • There is a 360 degree swing ratchet in the middle of the two expansion plates, can be inserted into the caliper at any direction. The ratchet works only when there is a certain pressure on the expansion plates. You can extend the pressure of the expansion plates to a suitable width by hand, and then put it into the calipers.
  • The brake caliper piston ratchet wrench uses 1/8" thickness high quality steel expansion plates, very hard. The two expansion plates keep parallel to ensure that the caliper piston is subjected to uniform force, preventing damage to the caliper or piston dislocation.
  • Swing the long handle to operate the ratchet, and toggle the reversing switch to switch between expansion and contraction. This brake caliper piston expander is a very helpful tool for doing brake pad replacement, resetting the piston, changing the brake and doing other brake works

Where have these things been, I threw away 4 of my 4" c-clamps I've been using on calipers for the last 20 years. It is so easy now, no fuss, seconds to work, as long as it lasts I'll be happy and even if they don't they are cheap enough to replace

This works great...and I love the extra large side plates it came with as well.....BUT..... it’s not really for the full time mechanic......after a while the plates started to bend and the ratchet started to slip.....BUT that was after a TON of brake jobs...I liked the tool so much I got on off the tool truck that was more sturdy....like I said it’s for the home mechanic...not the professional... ... show more

It's a good tool and easy to use, only bad thing is the magnets that hold the adapters on are not strong enough so when your trying to put in place they will sometimes fall off. The glue could of been better as well since the magnets after second use now come out and you have to keep sticking back in ... show more

Seemed like a good idea at the start. Used it once and it broke. Wrench part doesn't work any more and the pins are not aligned. Don't recommend. I suggest using a little bit of enginuity instead of this product.
