This ice maker works great. Very quiet, doesn't vibrate, doesn't move across the counter (rubber feet on the bottom). We wish that the machine would BEEP when the basket inside is full of cubes, and you need to empty it. The FULL light turns RED and lets you know you need to empty it, but I feel like we have to keep babysitting the machine and sticking around the kitchen to check for that RED light. If it beeped like a coffeemaker, it would be great. The manual (several pages; actually a "leaflet"), answers the general questions, but not all questions you could possibly have. There is no company phone # on the leaflet either, so who would you call? I'm assuming that this is why others have bought the name brand ice makers (Frigidaire, for example), since you can actually call them with questions about any of their products. This is not a machine that you can just "set and go", where you can set it up for cubes and leave to work, for example. This is not a crockpot. The machine makes 9 ice cubes each cycle, and I believe there are 4 cycles to a "full basket of cubes" = 36 cubes. The cubes are cylinder-shaped, not square or round. Once the 36 cubes are in the basket, the red light says "full", and you empty the basket. At that point, you can either go for more cubes, or turn off the machine. Our question was: if you're not around to empty that basket right away, how long does it take until all the cubes have melted? This is why we're saying, this isn't a machine to be left alone. You gotta hang around, in other words.

Works like a trooper. Ice every 6ish minutes. There's a full basket before you know it. One glitch: the *no water* sensor got corroded. It's just a *paper clip* like wire in the water stream. Two screws to take the top off. Scraped the *paper clip* sensor with an x-acto knife. Back in business. No trouble since.

This is a life saver for me at work! I am a snacker, but the ice really keeps me from snacking (yes, chewing ice is bad for your teeth). The ice is soft enough to chew and it doesn’t take long for it to make. The auto sensor works well too. Con: it is a bit noisy. I have it in my office, so I can definitely hear when it is trying to make some ice.

I bought this on Amazon two years ago this month because my refrigerator ice maker died. I've been using it several times a week since then and it works WONDERFULLY!!! At first I was disappointed that the cubes were quite small, but then I realized that it was because the distilled water I was using was at room temperature. So now, if I don't have cold water at first, I just leave the basket out for the first half hour of use so the cubes drop into the water chamber and soon I have ice water! Then I put the basket back in and I have nice, big solid cubes dropping into the basket...10 STARS!!

My fridge's ice maker was broker and I heard it from the fridge technician about portable ice makers. This product is great, makes ice extremely fast. What I like is that you get to use your own filtered water to make ice. Makes a full bucket of ice in about half a day. It is quiet and very easy to clean. I simply save the ice cubes in a ziplock bag and put it in the freezer for future use.

We do a lot of camping. On some of our trips we use a vintage trailer and camp with friends. When we all get together for a drink or two, we need ice. This is the absolute perfect ice maker for our needs as we can plug it into the shore power or, better yet, plug into a power station and it will run for the week end providing all of the ice we need. It pumps out ice at a pace of about 6 minutes each time. Now THAT is fast!!! We are very pleased with this one.

This ice maker is a change maker, I love that it can make 8 ice cubes within 6 minutes. I can turn it on in the morning while getting ready for work and i would have enough ice cubes for my water bottle when i am ready to leave an hour later. Ice cubes are a good size (not too big and not too small) They are very crunch when eating. They can last all day when using my Stanley. Super easy to use and it pretty much comes already put together, Directions are clear to understand. Great value for my money. I like to use bottled water as it makes the ice cubes clear unlike when i used tapped water. Also does't take up too much counter space.
