Honestly this isn't a bad gaming system overall but it's the equivalent of old tech from the early 2000's which isn't really necessarily horrible just dated. You get two controllers, a basic sensor with game console, a kind of disco strobe light, and USB cables for power and for HDMI to plug in directly to a TV or TV-like display like a projector. The games itself you get four choices from puzzle games, ar games, motion sensor games and a plethora of arcade-style games from the 80s to 90s. There is a lot of selection the problem is the selection is a bit iffy. I would say the games are a bit too simplistic and toned for a younger audience, and for a more modern gamer this kind of console would not be that impressive. If you're trying to get a console for someone new to gaming this might be one to push them into, however. It's not a bad choice of games but it's a lot of fluff over actual QUALITY games. So outside of the rather basic game console, other concern I had is with the disco strobe light. It is VERY reactive. In a dark room I would be considered about potential seizures so that is something to be concerned about. You can simply just NOT plug it in, so that can eliminate that altogether but it is at least in my opinion something to keep in mind when playing on this. Overall it's a good enough quality device for beginner gamers, the controllers seem responsive, and the sensor for AR seems decent but it's nothing groundbreaking or new. Think of the games the equivalent of what you would get if you were getting free games with a computer. ... show more

    • An Overwhelming Hot Mess
I was eager to open up the box to start playing with this set. It is strange-looking and appears to be made out of cracker-thin plastic (looking just like the $2 toys sold at flea markets). However, I still wanted to see what was "under the hood." What is the FUN...?! That's when I got lost. My eyes crossed, and then I just felt completely overwhelmed. 900 games is an extraordinary number of games for a console. It sounds exciting when reading about it online. However, when trying to read the specs in the package for this console all bets were off. Firstly, a magnifier is needed to read the tiny script. Secondly, there is so much written with hardly any spacing. The list of games states the short-cut buttons to press on the controllers. It is horribly explained. Most certainly, they do not expect kids to read and understand it. A rocket scientist would probably have issues with the so-called manual. I finally got overwhelmed and said, "Later.". Every time I pick up the tiny pamphlet-sized manual to continue, I get a headache. 900 sounds exciting, and many of the games seem to be very similar (perhaps a blue ball instead of a red one? ) To me, it is a hot mess. This is a nice game system because it offers games for virtually any age from young to old. It has 809 retro games that are mostly original nes or hacks of nes games. There are a couple of other retro games from other systems as well. The puzzle games are fun. The interactive games are great too. The AR games are what make this stand out. Boxing is a blast and a good workout! I am going to give a couple of tips for using this system. #1 when playing the retro games you need to hold the back button for 5 seconds to exit them. #2 when playing the AR games you need ALOT of light all around you for the camera to recognize you. If the camera doesn't recognize you the games won't load. #3 you don't need or have to use the light that attaches to the top of the game unit. It's just for show. The controllers work good and work with rechargeable batteries. It only takes a couple of minutes to hook the entire system up and start playing. All in all hours of entertainment for the entire family! ... show more

This is one of those gifts you get from a kiosk at the mall, very last minute. Would not recommend for older kiddos this could maybe entertain younger children but teens would absolutely not be fans of this. While there's a massive catalog of games its just so cheap and light the controllers are weird the whole thing is different from anything you may already own. It's priced in a range where you could get something else that would be more reliable and probably last longer. The camera on this for motion games is terrible you need great lighting or it will not work. ... show more

    • Cheap made unit does what it promises
It is a cheaply made unit. The controllers are wireless - you have to make sure they are pointed at the box to work. 1/2 the games are "shovelware" - noname games that are almost unplayable. BUT - it does have 40 great games on it. I am yet to explore all the included games in upcoming Christmas break. All in all I would say this system is great for the kids 12 years or under. ... show more
