When you read reviews, believe what you read. We didn't want to pay in the hundreds for a play mat so, even though there were some bad reviews, we hesitantly decided to purchase this one. I wish we hadn't. The system never showed on the TV. Regardless to all the connection Q's you may read about this item, setting it up is in no way complicated. It not working makes you think, there's got to be more to the set up. Nope, it's just a piece of junk. Returning and replacement is extremely easy, but I chalk that up to it being shipped through Amazon. Yes, we did order a replacement because it comes faster than ordering a new item. Fingers and toes crossed. SMH - Replacement arrived within 1.5 days! It works great. I believe this priduct is appropriate for ages 4 - 7 because the animation is cheap/poorly done. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: After posting my review assuming it was too late to return, I was contacted by the seller who issued a full refund. I will definitely buy this again and hope it works longer than a couple weeks. I bought this for Christmas last year and didn’t get to even open the box until September. We used it for 1 weekend and the next weekend it stopped working. Obviously can’t return it but I’m extremely disappointed because it was such a hit with my 4 year old son. Even though these pads are called "Dance Pad" they are so much more!! With all the games that can be played they spend hours enjoying them. They love that they can see themselves on the TV thanks to the Quilty HD Camera that is included with the dance pad. My 10-year-old grandson joins in on the fun sometimes when his sister lets him. I bought 2 pads, one for each of my granddaughter's 6th birthdays. They love them!!! I would highly recommend the dance pads for hours of fun. ... show more

We have had this item for over 6 months now, and the excitement has wore off. The mat is basically useless as the arrows on the screen go way to fast for her to keep up. The AR mode is hard to match up with in order for the system to "see" what you are doing. The songs available are not none, and some are in a foreign language and the stuff displayed on the TV are delayed and very early Apple computer era graphics. The controllers can be used vertically or horizontally and HAVE to be used one way or the other for each game. So, you have to lookup the game on the print out they give you and then remember how the controller works in each position. For a 6 year old, this is too much work. Its just wasting space at this point. Since my window for return is up, I will probably just thow it all away. Not sure it would even be worth it to donate it sadly. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ I was worried about this purchase based on how much cheaper it was compared to other game mats. I am so glad I went with it! Setup was straightforward, but make sure you have 6 AAA batteries on hand. Be mindful that the game controllers are used vertically OR horizontally based on the game! It will tell you on the bottom of the screen of each game which way you need it. Makes a big difference! Keep the pamphlet that comes with the game! It explains all the games. We are having issues with the AR games because there is barely enough room between the camera and where we can stand because if the way my living room is setup. Also, be sure and have enough lighting! It’s a small camera, but has a large viewing range. Distances and lighting matters. My 6 year old loves it and even started it herself the other day! My only issues are that the music in the AR gets distorted, the dances aren’t instructional and can be hard to follow even in the easy level. At this point, the mat is useless for my kiddo. She is using the system completely without the mat. Maybe as she gets older we can add the mat back. Overall, highly recommend! ... show more
