Love Love Love these chairs. They are just as advertised. Very easy to put together. Everything you need is included and packaged wonderfully. Easy to follow instructions. There are caps on the base and gas cylinder, but I received an email immediately after purchase letting me know to remove those. The chairs call for 4 screws and they provide an extra screw + the 2 L wrenches. From unboxing to spinning in my new chair was about 10 minutes at the most. The stitching and feel of the cushion is wonderful. I do wish the foot rest came out a little further so I don’t have to sit with my feet tucked under me (a common barstool design to be expected). But that is easily solved with a little foot rest. I am now able to sit at a comfortable height at my counter.

Soft fabric and very comfortable. Chairs don't go down in height as much as I wanted so to alleviate dangling feet I purchased an adjustable black shower curtain rod to attach to the inside of my table bottom to act as a foot rest. The foot rests attached to the chairs are a little akward for a lengthy sit-down meal.

Background: I spent a lot of time researching trying to find something tall but easy to hide with fast delivery. At first I was in denial about ordering online because I wanted them NOW in my new house. I went to a whole bunch of stores and realized anything you can find in store is absurdly expensive now days. Once I gave into the fact I would need to order online, I was still looking for fast delivery. I was searching for something tall for my rolling island countertop..: that could be tucked under and wouldn’t stick out on the bottom….I was searching between bar stools and high table stools etc… coming up with nothing….I wasn’t even thinking about adjustable height chairs because most have the shiny silver bottoms that looked huge and stick out like a sore thumb. I have a very small space where I use this and needed something I could easily tuck under the counter’s overhang that didn’t trip people on the bottom. This left me searching for thin rectangle seats and straight legs, but they seemed so uncomfortable. I moved on to comfortable looking seats with backs but I just can’t deal with the pleather seats they just feel gross to me. So I started looking for velvet and came across these. They looked so comfortable—but I was worried they would look too oyster/clamshell-ish, which is great for my aesthetic, but not the look of the room. I’ll get to the point: I’m so glad I ordered these. First, they came several days earlier than expected, which made me super happy. They were easy to put together, In person they don’t look like a clam. Just simple and modern. They look expensive…The seats are cushy…and they do NOT attract pet hair..:.they are supportive on your low back….they easily tuck under the counter and don’t trip people. I bought the black intentionally to blend with the side of my counter/island…they blend in perfectly which I think was the right decision for my small space, however I could see them holding their own as the star of the show in a different space for sure. Hope this helps someone!
