• HOW TO USE: Make sure press is securely mounted to the workbench and the base is secure. Open the press by turning the handle counterclockwise. Place item between the serrated jaws. Close the press by turning the press handle clockwise until the item is snug in the serrated jaws, continue to tighten until you can no longer move item. Don't over tighten as this may damage item and or the press. When finished working on the item, turn screw handle counterclockwise to release the item.

Description

The Yost Vises 6D 6" heavy-duty drill press vise mounts to a drill press bench to provide clamping action for drilling applications; is qualified as National Stock Number (NSN) 3460-00-293-0272; meets Federal Specification GGG-V-443-A Type I, Class 2, Style C, and is made in USA. The stationary base creates a firm foundation when mounted to a drill press bench. The jaws are made of hardened steel and can be replaced when worn. The stationary jaw has a horizontal and vertical V-groove for enhanced grip of circular stock. The jaws draw closer together or farther apart by turning the vise handle clockwise or counterclockwise. The ductile iron body is durable and strong for extended life and precision.The main screw that controls the jaws has been continuous rolled for high strength. A rubber washer on either side of the handle prevents unwanted sliding when turning, and the balls on each end unscrew to enable replacement of the handle if worn.
