This gazebo is amazing. I got the 12' X 20' for my back west facing patio and for the first time I'll be able to sit out there or have friends over and not bake in the sun. It will be so great to have some shade for a change. It is very sturdy and the 2 builders that put it up for me said the directions were very clear, all of the parts were well labeled, and the packaging was excellent. Two builders put it up in 12 hours. They did get and installed some extra strong bolts to help hold it to my wooden deck. 😊UPDATE: WE live in the NW on the Coast of Oregon in a temperate rain forest. AND, the rains have arrived, (just got an inch in under 1/2 hour. and have already experienced about 15 inches so far.) NO LEAKS and has held up well during the windy rainy storms we have had since the end of October. Holding up well and lovely to sit under when the rain is pouring down. What a great buy for the price. Was mostly easy to assemble and is very sturdy. My son, daughter in-law, hubby and I put this up in about 6 hours. The only complaint I have is the instructions could have been clearer. Missed putting the trim all around on the top piece and had to pull the slats down on the big top to put the trim on the upper piece. Other than that, the gazebo is lovely and with our high winds and tons of rain here on the coast of Oregon, I think it will hold up well. We've had our usual the sun is out so now we get tons of wind, off the ocean every afternoon, and the gazebo doesn't rattle or anything. Would definitely recommend. ... show more

Overall this seems to be a pretty sturdy/nice unit. I purchased the 12X14’ Yolney unit. It arrived in 4 different boxes. Some boxes had exterior damage but the items inside were in decent shape. Some of the ends of the frame pieces bent but I was able to straighten them with a pry bar and crescent wrench. Some of the roof panels were slightly bent but straightened out during assembly. The instructions were decent. I would highly recommend reading through them before starting. At one point I had 4 people help me put the frame up. Otherwise 1-2 people can put this thing together in 1-2 days depending on skill. Definitely need an 8-foot tall latter to reach the top roof panels. At one point I had to use a ratchet strap to pull the assembly together to attach a few of the roof braces. Hardware was all there and labeled well. Recommend using better quality wrenches and socket wrenches. There are a ton of bolts in this assembly. It definitely needs to be anchored to increase sturdiness. Since I have a paver stone patio I ended up setting each post in a 1 cubic foot planter filled with 80-100lbs of concrete. It does not have a screen for the upper open area part of the roof and there is a gap between the top of the curtain screen and roof so it may not be fully bug proof but I don’t think any gazebo is. !Great product! We bought the 12 by 14 foot one and mounted it on our deck. It was put it up in about three days of spare time and LOVE it. Should have bought one years ago. It is so peaceful sitting out in our swing without having the sun beat you down. Love the netting but we will have to find some chain to put in the netting bottom seam to help hold it down. Only hope and pray that it stands up to the occasional wind. Very well made and the corner braces seem to make it as sturdy as it can possibly be.+ * 2 year follow-up: Still doing GREAT. WE still give it a solid 5 stars. I can't see any bowing of the composition roof panels even after a very wet snow of 5 inches the first winter. It has weathered many high wind storms as well (with some of the gusts over 50 MPH). For versatility we mounted an outdoor light/fan combination on a board that mounted on the N1 piece. This allowed me to clamp my wiring conduit down without having to drill into a structural member. As you can see in the photos I just zip tied the conduit to a corner member. WE mounted the gazebo on our 12'x24' deck that was extremely sunny and without mosquito protection. We had to notch the deck railing in order to mount it. Now my wife can finally sit out without getting eaten up. We SURE wish we hadn't put this purchase off and just gone ahead and had bought ours 10 years ago! Absolutely love it! Now we are looking to replace the mosquito net as they don't last forever (especially with a scared cat blowing through it). Solid product! ... show more

Yes I know it looks good but when you are up close it looks horrible. It scratches easily, the labels that differentiate the parts do not come off and the ones that do leave a glue residue, it is difficult to fully tighten the bolts in several parts of construction, and the tolls they provide are a joke. Good thing I am a tool hoarder and had what I needed. The instructions are somewhat vague as well. ... show more

We liked the finished product but we doggone sure toughed it out putting it together in a total of 16 hours over a 2-day span. Two of us with a 6ft & 3ft ladder, a decent screw gun and patience got the job done BUT we had serious problems with the roof sections because the clips we had to insert on the edges of the roof sections KEPT POPPING OUT OF PLACE!!! We checked the Amazon video of the 4 men putting the roof in place and noticed at one point they had clips in place and then, after a sudden edit, the clips weren't visible!!! We decided to DITCH THEM FREAKING CLIPS!!! 2 days after we had it assembled a SERIOUS wind and rainstorm came through. The bolted down gazebo stood sturdily, the roof had no leaks and successfully shed the deluge of rain. ... show more
