This thing is a piece of crap. Do not buy this! Both my friend and I bought one of these shovels for our houses and his battery started burning up and he had to shut it off after about a minute. He also got one for his father and his died as well after about just a few minutes. Mine lasted about one minute and died also the trigger got stuck and won’t spring back.

Mine was clearly an open box and I was worried about the look of the electrical casing. It worked for ten minutes and died. Do not buy this product, certainly not from this seller.

I thought this might be a good option for my elderly mother, but it was a little too much for her to handle. Assembly was not possible over the phone, and from the looks of some of the other reviews, sounds like she saved herself a lot of grief sticking with her good old manual snow shovel.

When it works it's, mediocre compared to manual shoveling, but this lasts literally maybe 2 minutes and then takes over half an hour to charge.

Finally got the chance to really use this. It's awesome. Easy to put together. Has a trigger safety which I really appreciate since I have kids. Does a good job with snow removal, even got rid of some ice on the porch that would've been hard to remove with a shovel. It's easy to use and maneuver through the snow. Biggest tip would be do it while it's not deep. Once it's deeper it's a lot more work. It's lightweight and really simple to use. I'm a short woman, 5'1" and it's easily manageable. The battery works well. It's actually about to last a lot longer than I expected. And bonus, my blower takes the same battery and we're compatible. I was able to do like half of the wraparound deck with two batteries and there were some deep spots that we had not done for a bit. Definitely recommend this for porches and smaller areas. Not recommended for huge jobs. You'd need 5 batteries.
