They work exactly like I wanted. But to get the effect on a patio it is only noted for a short distance. Sitting on the patio looks great not so noticeable from a few feet away.

I had been disappointed when I first turned them on as it was mid afternoon and they provided barely and light and the flame effect was not noticeable. Once night fell and it was dark out these lights provided a nice warm glow and resemble a flame. Very delightful flame effect and perfect for Halloween. Not very bright, but bought more so for the effect than light output. *Update after 6 months use 3 of the 4 lights have stopped working not sure I would buy again. ... show more

Was excited to get these with my kiddos. The first 3 bulbs worked great. The 4th one started blowing sparks, smoke and fire out of the bulb! It was scary and a huge fire hazard. I plugged in the bulb that was in there before and another new bulb and had no issues…to confirm it was the bulb that was faulty and not the bulb socket. Soooo - 3 are awesome and 1 almost set our carpet on fire. Not worth it. ... show more

I kept going back and forth worrying what to get for these flickering lights... the videos for them are accurate, they go out at the same time and so really create a flickering effect. They definitely aren't as bright though, some light but more for looks in my opinion. I'm glad I got these and they aren't exactly dark either just not a real light source if no other lights around ... show more
