Bought this for me and my gf, she's a chef, I got her some nice Japanese knives and thought I'd get this as an extra. She loves it. It's very light and it's very sharp out of the box and it seems to be keeping the edge pretty well. The box it came in was really nice, made it look like it was some nice expensive knife. It's still not quite as good as the other Japanese knives I gave her, but nonetheless it's a great product for the price. Note that I haven't sharpened it yet on the stones, so I can't really say whether it's gonna be an easy or difficult alloy to sharpen. Overall this was definitely a good buy. ... show more

Fairly sharp, not razor sharp, I noticed some roughness on the edge when I got it so I ran it on my steel first thing. The jury is out on durability and quality of the steel. Overall though I would say it is a good product for the money spent

I bought this for a small prep knife , not my typical but the blade profile and the price was right. I've had this for several months now and its great I use it daily and have yet to touch the blade. The first week I had it I got 3 stiches so be careful when you get one

I bought these because they came up under “full tang handle”. When I first received these, I was thrilled by their beauty and cutting ability. However, the first time I laid garlic cloves on the cutting board and laid the blade on its side on top of the cloves to “smash” them with a whack of my hand, the blade literally pulled OUT OF THE HANDLE!! They definitely are not full tang! Also, in just 6 months of use they have become a rusty & unusable set of knives! I’m so angry these turned out to be such a horrible, falsely advertised product. DO NOT BUY THESE!! At least the “storage block” is still usable; if I could find decent knives to put in it. ... show more
