The gazebo arrived in 3 heavy boxes, but very well packed with wooden linings, braced with steel, lots of styrofoam and each piece individually wrapped. There was no damage whatsoever. I am very impressed with the engineering and design. The metal is heavy with what looks like a handsome lasting finish (powder coated?) Each part is labeled, and all of the bolts, screws, etc. were well-organized and labeled, packed in a fabric drawstring bag. The massive number of pieces was daunting at first, but the instruction booklet--all drawings--was logical and very helpful. Some details were printed too lightly and difficult to see. During assembly I found that 8 holes were not drilled in the cross beams. Dimples were there, but not the holes. I had to buy a metal bit and drill my own holes. I reported the problem to the manufacturer and they very quickly offered a generous partial refund. The gazebo is sturdy and beautiful. The fabric curtains and screens seem to be heavy-duty. It looks like it would have cost significantly more than the asking price. Time will tell, of course, how well it weathers. ... show more

Need shade for our deck so we purchased this one. It shipped in 3 boxes and all arrived undamaged. Installation was not horrible at all. There are a lot of pieces but it went together relatively easily. I do suggest that when installing the ceiling tiles, that as you insert one section, you put a bolt in one of the lower holes that will get bolted. This will help hold it in place until all are installed and you begin to install the blocks and bolts. Be patient, some of the pieces will fight you but you can maneuver them into place. Overall, I expected it to be worse than it was. Took two of us 7 hrs. from start to finish. We bolted ours to the decking and have not been through any weather with it. It is not as heavy as I expected it to be and do worry about high winds. We are happy with this purchase and would recommend it over any gazebo with corrugated plastic or polyboard roofing, this metal roof is far more sturdy and provides actual shade! ... show more

We were wanting some shade on our back deck and ordered this hard top gazebo. It was fairly easy to put together. My husband did most of it, I helped when he needed it. The gazebo is attractive and looks great on the deck. So nice that it comes with curtains and netting. We do get seasonal thunderstorms and high winds this time of year and the gazebo has held up very well to the wind (we have it bolted to the deck). Very happy with our purchase! ... show more

    • Nice but a pain
Was a pain to put together literally missed a whole step in the instructions but still figured it out without it. Holes don't line up though so hubby has to use self tap screws. Other then that material and sturdiness is good. Nice look!

This unit is not easy to install and needs several knowledgeable grown adults involved in the set up. We put ours in cement in the ground to secure it so it will be permanent. The curtains slide easily. And it looks gorgeous in our yard. It has not rained yet, so I don’t know how it will stand up to that, but the construction is very good. ... show more

    • Design flaws

This is not worth the cost and if it was easy to disassemble we would be returning it. Hoping my review can save someone else the purchase price. We were thrilled to have it up and ready to enjoy when we discovered right away that you are unable to use the hook at the top to hang a light, plant, or anything at all because the netting attaches below where the hook is. Now one must decide whether to keep the bugs out or hang something. We have too many mosquitoes here so it was an easy decision, however, now we need to figure out a way to hang lights. Design flaw number two occurred as soon as we had wind. The curtains are not weighted or heavy enough material to stop the wind from blowing the sides wide open. So much for keeping you or your furniture dry. Now we must find a solution for that as well. Until we do the sides must stay velcroed at the posts and that too is a flawed design. If I could snap my fingers and make this gazebo disappear I would, but the decision to purchase one is all yours. Good luck. ... show more

This company is wonderful to work with! FedEx made an absolute mess of the delivery of the gazebo, when they finally delivered the last box with the posts a week late, the box was all damaged and two of the posts were bent. I called the gazebo company and sent them pictures of the damage caused by FedEx and they immediately shipped out replacements the next day. This time FedEx delivered on time, only because I made reports of the problems with the original delivery. I highly recommend this gazebo, it is beautiful. My husband, who is very mechanical, and I put this up in one day, a very loooong day. Just take your time and study the instructions and you will do fine assembling it. ... show more
