This bed "rail" pillow works just as advertised. It is a dense foam pillow that comes vacuum packed. You will need to let it air out for a day or two to off-gas and reshape. After that just tuck it under the fitted sheet along the side of your child's bed and it will stay in place. Our toddler is still in a crib for now, but often ends up sleeping with us in our bed or the guest room if he wakes up at night. We put him in the middle, but I still find it hard to sleep soundly because I am so afraid that he will roll out of the bed. This pillow rail has allowed me to sleep soundly again. And we can just move it to his twin bed when he is ready to move out of the crib. Obviously this is not quite as secure as the mesh wall rails that you can get for kid beds. Your child can still climb out of bed easily, but it will protect them from just falling from bed while restlessly dreaming. This is also much more cost effective and quick to install. I like that it can fold in half for easy storage for travel. Even comes with its own storage bag to keep it clean in transport. Definitely too bulky to bring with you for air travel, but could easily throw in the car and use on road trips. Great option to keep young kids and toddlers safely contained in hotel beds. Only con is the price is still a bit high for what it is, especially if you need one for each side of the bed. ... show more
