I mounted the cross bars on a Kia Forte. It worked very well for our road trip. We put a rooftop bag in between the two bars and was able to secure our items with out a problem. The roof bag we used is by Midabao and did not leak at all. It rained 11 hours of the 12 hour drive home.

this rack came without instructions prepare to use your imagination, once installed tried to use it to carry our kayak which 45 pounds each we have two. lets do some quick math 45+ 45+ 15 pound of a kayak carrier= that is a total of 105 lb it the limit is 150lb why would the be bending nearly into our roof? Meaning that it can not hold 150lb. we used it twice and both times it looked like it was going to snap in two. in order to lock the adjustable bracket you will need a hammer or mallet to smash it in otherwise it will be too loose for comfort. the racks are so loud whether you are going 20, 30, 50,70mph it will be loud. ... show more

    • Finally got one that fitted my car !

After buying and sending back a couple of bar systems because if fitting problems , this one fitted my 2015 Nissan Altima ! it took me a while to figure out how to install it on but once on it fit . The only problem was that the bars plastic were scratched but once on the car I did not want to send it back and wait for another , was not happy to realize that I was sold this roof bars as new when they were obviously used and won't give me confidence to buy from them again ... show more

Overall, if it weren't for the rust, these roof racks installed easily, and had remained solid on my Santa Fe. But after 2 months, the adapters that hold the racks to the car, are so rusted that they actually transferred some of the rust onto the roof of my SUV. I had to take them off to prevent any further rust damage. Will regrettably have to return them. ... show more

    • Extremely noisy on the road at any speed above 10mph

I was hopeful, but the noise is just too much, even for occasional use. I would rather put my skiis in the trunk with the back seat down. The noise (road whistle) is intolerable. I tried relocating them further to the rear of the car in a hope that the air pushing over the windshield would clear the racks. Nope. The whistle starts at just over 10mph and does not get quieter unless you are behind a semi truck! Not easy to install either. Difficult to get everything lined up. Maybe graduation marks under the crossbar would help? Doesn't matter if they are as noisy as they are. Returning them tomorrw. ... show more
