Description

Your first honey harvest should not cost more than the hive it came from. This 2 frame honey extractor, also called a honey spinner or centrifuge, is the entry level way to get capped honey out of your frames and into a bucket without crushing your comb. The tangential basket holds two frames at a time. Load them, turn the handle, and centrifugal force throws the honey against the drum wall where it runs down to the base. Flip the frames, spin the second side, then open the honey gate and drain into your settling tank or filter strainer. Because the comb survives intact, you put drawn frames back on the hive and your bees spend the next flow filling them instead of rebuilding them. The drum is heavy food grade plastic with a steel shaft and steel gearing. That keeps the extractor light to move and store, and easy to clean with nothing more than hot water. The basket accepts standard 19 inch Langstroth frames in deep, medium and shallow depths.
