Built well. Bottom board screen secured well. Some people complained of rust forming on the metal tray so i sprayed a thin layer of paint on the divitited corners where moisture could collect. Hopefully it will last a long time. I just bought a second one because of its great quality for another new hive.

Waxing is an excellent way to protect wood, but for hive equipment, paraffin is used, not beeswax. I like the construction and the drawer works well, but doubtful the beeswax will last. Beeswax gets brittle in cold and sticky in the heat. I guess I will find out. Would have preferred untreated so i could paint or hot wax dip myself. I only purchased because of the utility, the beeswax was a negative.
