Well written book. I've also read the 5-AM club and this book is similar with some added ideas to help you live your absolutely best life. It has a bonus chapter that talks about a bedtime routine as well. I think it's a great refresher book if you're already getting up early and have a routine. This was well written and easy to read . The cover is nice and is durable as a book can be . The price was ok but for a soft cover could be better . It was easy to read and definitely something to learn from .

  • This book is life changing!
This is the first book I have finished, probably in my adult life and definitely in the last 10yrs. Normally I skip through the books finding bits and pieces that catch my interest before losing interest. Now each morning I wake up and I'm excited to sit down and read The Miracle Morning and practice the Life S.A.V.E.R.S. Why is The Miracle Morning different? It has inspired me to be the successful entrepreneur I had always envisioned I would be "someday." Not there yet, but I expect to be in 90 days. All along deep inside I knew I would most likely fail at this too, since that's how I viewed everything I had attempted to do in my life. I was afraid of failure, so if I didn't try I couldn't fail. Right? Hal shared all his real life traumatic and life altering experiences, failures and devastating financial set backs. Which I could relate to on a personal level. If Hal could go thru all that which is similar to my life experiences and he come out the other side more successful and found an even greater amount of financial freedom, then I could to. "If" I implemented all of the steps that enabled Hal to not only reach his goals but exceed his own expectations of those goals. Just like the restaurant scene from "When Harry met Sally", I looked at Hal's life and said to myself, "I want what Hal is having." The book made me go deep within myself and ask myself why did I fail? Basically it is what I would tell myself right before I would embark on a new job, a promise to a friend or family member that I would do something or be somewhere, my core being would say, "you know you won't follow through." My stomach would clench and I would fell sick inside. This would be followed by extreme guilt because I didn't follow through on anything. Then my inner voice would say, "see I told you, you wouldn't do it!" "You are such a failure. You can't stick to your word or promises." This book has changed that mind set. Now I don't tell myself "I will", instead I tell myself, "I am". When I journal I write, I am successful, I visualise myself being successful, what that feels like and last but not least how I am going to execute it. I visualise each and every step of the way. How those steps are going to make me feel. No more commitment issues. Those are not allowed! No excuses either . Those are replaced with accountability. No more self hate. Hate has been replace with self love, confidence, peace, joy and freedom. Like I said at the beginning, The Miracle Morning is a life changer! I am going back to what my mother instilled in me from childhood and throughout my adult life which I had lost some where along the way. Mom: "Amy, you can do and be anything you want to do or be in the whole wide world. You are beautiful, intelligent, funny, strong, people like being around you and people love you. All you have to do is put your mind to it. Remember it's mind over matter! If you believe you can then you can, BUT if you don't believe you can then you won't. It's all yours for the taking...all you have to do is go out and get it." What she left out was the "how to's" how to set a goal and most importantly what actions need to be taken to reach and exceed my own expectations. Hal not only gives you the confidence that you can but he also gives you a plan of action. An action plan which will help you to execute those actions to reach your own level of success you've ever imagined but never knew quite how to get there. These steps can apply to any and every aspect of your life. So what are you waiting for? I came across this book when I was least expecting it a little over a year ago. It was absolutely life-changing, and the new version has more content and is even better than the first version! Before reading this book, my mornings were rushed and I seldom had time for personal growth and self-care. My priorities were out of balance, it had been years since I had set non-work-related goals, and one of my important relationships was floundering. It's important to understand this is more than just a book: The author spells out six essential activities in the Miracle Morning routine and explains why they work and how to do them. I had never done some of the steps before, but it was easy to start once I understood them. Doing the Miracle Morning routine helped me find the time I needed to refocus, set, and follow through with goals in ten important areas of my life; My relationship improved dramatically; I started exercising, feeling healthier, and am in the best physical shape of my life; I weathered a difficult work transition with relative ease; and I was able to realign my day-to-day activities with my core values. The Miracle Morning routine is adaptable to your lifestyle, available time, and preferences. It’s effective whether you get up super early, or you just incorporate the routine whenever you wake up. Miracle Morning was a simple read and a great guide. I already got up early but didn't exactly know what to do when I got up and this has put a beautiful order into my mornings. A great read especially if you want fresh mornings for yourself.

  • The best book I've read about creating an empowering morning routine
I love the principles behind having a morning routine. Some have suggested you don't need the mornings to do all this. No you don't, but I believe it's the best way. The reason is when you go through your daily life, you can't control what happens to you. However you can control how you start your day. So no matter what craziness happens during the day, you've made time to focus on yourself and personal growth. Also it gets you ready for the day. If you feel grateful, do your affirmations, get the blood flowing, and focus on the goals you want to achieve for yourself in the morning, the rest of the day you're going to see the world through that filter. If you wake up and watch the news, check what your friends are complaining about on Facebook, watch some TV, grab a quick sugar filled breakfast and then head out the door to start your day, then you've set yourself up for a lazy and unproductive. Do that for 365 days and see what happens. I know because my morning routine did nothing for me. I worked at a restaurant so I didn't work till nights. I'd sleep in, watch tv, check my email, check social media, eat breakfast while doing this, and then do this until lunch time. After lunch, I'd do more of the same until it was time for work. Hal's book speaks to me like an old friend teaching me the best way to maximize my mornings. I like that he doesn't come off like a guru. He sounds like a regular guy who's overcome a lot in his life and discovered the one thing that makes him able to achieve so much in life. There's no guessing what you need to do. He lays out a plan for you that has not only worked for him, but his coaching clients. If you saw my Kindle book, it's covered in highlights and notes. So much great inspiration and lessons in it to review. I believe the people who think a morning routine is stupid aren't willing to try it. Don't dismiss it unless you've actually tried it. The worst possible scenario is you life is the same as it is. It definitely won't get any worse from following the routine that Hal outlines in the book. The best possible scenario is that it can change your life. Isn't that worth the risk? Just remember if you want to achieve something you've never achieved before, then you have to do what you have never done before. ... show more

  • Tbe Olive Garden of self-improvement books.
When I go to a new town, I ask the locals what's the best restaurant in town, and if they say The Olive Garden, I pretty much know what kind of place I'm in. Don't get me wrong, Olive Garden is awesome if you're on a budget or if you've never had a fantastic Italian meal - it will provide sustenance, value, and even enough for a doggie bag. But, if you're used to dining on more rich and fresh fare, you'll leave a bit unsatisfied. That's how I felt about this book. I bought it because I heard him on Pat Flynn's Smart Passive Income Podcast and thought, wow, this guy has great thoughts. I wonder what else is in that book? Turns out the podcast is basically a summation of the book and there's nothing much else in there. Dang. Thanks for shilling it for free, Hal, but it was disappointing that there wasn't more there. There are great books (he gives some examples in his, like _Think and Grow Rich_ ) that you should really check out that truly deserve five stars, but if you're just getting started, I think this book could be a game changer for someone needing life inspiration. While I don't regret giving him my money because he deserves it for putting his message out there for people to find it, it wasn't $10 of value for me - I am happy to have bought it and supported him coming on Pat Flynn's show. But there it is. None of the bonuses included were anything I felt I needed to look into, and maaaaaan . . . I won't even have leftovers for breakfast. His ideas are simple and could be summarized in a one-page document, and none are anything I haven't heard before (and implemented). I wish I'd been able to peruse a hardcopy, but I bought it for Kindle. It's definitely a skim through (I was done in an hour because it's filled largely with cheerleading and testimonials) that I'll never read again. But, again, if this is new to you - both how to get motivated to empower yourself and invest in your self-worth and motivations, then this book is great. It's going to give you everything you need to get started and take action. It's just not 5-stars great. ... show more
