Fits Ford Expedition 2007 Perfectly! Metal and paint were superbly done. Great Add-on accessories. Can easily hold a few hundred pounds spread out. No rust at all. I bought the extension too along with the hi-lift jack mount, shovel mount and light mounts. All work great. Fully put together the rack goes from the rear of the car and stops just before the sunroof. I put it together myself on the grass (so it would scratch up on the concrete) and then lifted it myself and scooted it on the top with towels as cushions until I got it placed correctly. From start to finish I think it took me about 3 hours to put up (took about 30 minutes just to unpack and sort out). All went well and looks great. I get a lot of compliments as I leave it up year round. So far so good, very impressed with all the extra mounts. They even have a spare tire mount.

I purchased the MegaWarrrior rack for my 993 Jeep XJ. The 48x52 Size was perfect width wise, but I liked the added length of the 22" Extension for a total of 74 inches. I ordered the rack on a Sunday (Valentines Day) and had it on my doorstep on Tuesday (Monday was Presidents Day!). Shipping speed was awesome! The rack was extremely easy to put together and is easily assembled and mounted by one person. It came with all the needed hardware to mount but I do wish I would have ponied up for the antitheft mounting screws for just a little more money. The added cargo capacity means that I can now take a few more items with me to the camp site which is really nice. I think its good for a couple hundred pounds of gear. it can handle a couple coolers, camp chairs and tent as well as extra fuel and water cans just fine.

Easy install. I did it in about 15 minutes in the dark. Nice to have, but I'd say it's really more of an appearance upgrade than a functional one. How often do you really want to carry something on the roof of your car that you don't mind getting wet or dirty? I bought a bag (Samsonite from Costco) to keep stuff dry and it works great, but technically I didn't really need the basket to use it. I could have just attached it to the factory roof rack. Regardless, it's well built and easy to install, so if you really think you'll use it, go for it But I've used it exactly twice this summer; once out of necessity, and a second time just because. I mean, if you're buying the MegaWarrior, you already have a big vehicle. 90% of the time, whatever you are carrying can just as easily go inside. I prefer it to the enclosed style carriers because it looks cooler, but that's about it.

Drove 2,000 miles with this rack. Not only is it sturdy and very minimal wind noise, it’s so easy to assemble and attach to existing cross bars. I strapped a waterproof cargo bag to the rack and it fit nicely in the basket allowing for many different tie down points. Never felt worried at all during the drive. If looking for peace of mind and a quality product, I highly recommend.

Let me start by saying I have owned and used Yakima products for a while now. I have the full Overland rack, short crossbars, long crossbars, sidebars, as well as other accessories. When you get a good unit the quality is fine, albeit WAY overpriced for what you get. I just bought the MegaWarrior rack and the extension. The rack is $600 and the extension about $250-- so that is an $800 system!! This was more than I wanted to spend, but I have a 2-4 week family road trip (should be leaving tomorrow) and figured I should stick with a quality manufacturer-- or so I thought-- rather than take a risk on some newer brands. Yakima sent me a damaged rack that can not be installed. See photos. This was straight out of the box, all I did was remove the thing from the plastic bag. There is absolutely NO damage to the box, so this damage was from the factory. Now I have to send this junk back and have no rack for the family trip. It's one thing to offer a quality product at high prices if you deliver quality. It's a disgrace to sell an overpriced product with ZERO quality control. This will be my LAST Yakima product and I highly recommend buyers stay away. Could I fix this? Maybe... but why should risk further damage and potential failure to "fix" a $600 product? I am disgusted with Yakima.

Awesome... strong... lightweight... easy to assemble. Fits the roof rack on the 3d Generation Toyota 4Runnner perfectly... from front to back it's as long as the front-back running roof rack slider mount things... for the width.. it's a little wider than the roof. Width goes about 1.5 inches past the roof, so it's about even with the weatherstripping on the passenger windows. If you aligned with the top of the weatherstripping on the side windows and went vertically up.. you'd hit the outer edges of the rack. Good stuff.

Excellent roof rack! Assembled very quickly, and mounted to the top of my Jeep Grand Cherokee easily. I was able to mount it by myself, but a second pair of hands would be useful. I took on a very long road trip (48 hours of driving) and never had a problem with it. Be warned, it will hurt gas mileage a bit, but really helps to declutter the inside of your SUV. As with every Yakima product I have ever tried, it is well built, well thought out, and simple to use. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Hangs over the sides of my 2018 Subaru Outback a little bit but it looks CLEAN! I really like the width when loading kayaks compared to just crossbars. It allows more space for them to be secured and easier to stack. Wind noise is annoying, especially on interstate, and there is a 2-3MPG decrease but that is to be expected from anything mounted to roof, even crossbars. Once you get the basket together and know how to attach to crossbars, it’s easy to take on and off quickly. Would recommend having someone help mount/remove given the weight. I love this basket ❤️
