Wanted a bed frame and didn’t want to spend an arm and leg. This one is really nice. It was easy to put together (but if you want to save your wrist invest in one of those ratchet l-end wrench thingies). It is super sturdy and has the look I want. Mine is queen sized and I have a very think mattress. It doesn’t slide around when I sleep. I have it four stars because the headboard is short and doesn’t show much and because the slats make it hard to use à bed skirt. It has plenty of clearance to store things underneath. I used flat totes from sterlite and they go two high. I have 12 of them under there. ... show more

This bed arrived well packaged and on time. The box was about 60x30x6 inches and I was able to get it inside and upstairs by myself. (5'3", 65 yrs old) Putting the frame together by myself wasn't difficult. The instructions are very clear and it took me about 90 minutes, total, including the unboxing. All of the pieces were labeled, so it was easy to lay everything out in the order needed. I did use a ratchet to tighten the nuts, rather than the tool provided. There were no missing parts. Once assembled and tightened, it's very sturdy and there's no noise at all when sleeping on it. The finish is more matte than shiny, and it does have some texture. My mattress stays in place and doesn't slide around. I like the height of this frame because I can store a lot of things under the bed. Update: I use a mattress that does not require a box spring; it's 6-inch (approximately) thick. The mattress slides under the headbord. Anyone using this bed frame and a mattress without a box spring needs at least an 8 inch mattress! To put this bed together required a trip to the hardware store for four missing screws. The bed seems sturdy - no squeaking. Holds me and my 125 pound dog, and a few more pets. Takes several hours to put together and I am an ace assembler. The manufacturer should ship in a slightly larger box because the slightest damage to the box would damage the bed. Would be nice if this came in a bronze, copper or silver color. ... show more
