So I’m not usually one to leave reviews but I figured I would for this. First and foremost, I’m glad I got it. I don’t have any regrets. Not sure if it’s my fault for not seeing or reading…or remembering, but it’s worth mentioning that the actual chair part only swivels. I would have preferred one that could have vertical freedom to it as well but I’m not complaining. That’s probably a skill issue on my part. Package came in good condition with extra screws, bolts and whatnot which is always appreciated. I’m not weak by any means, but I’m not that strong either. Overall package wasn’t difficult to move or lift by myself. I’m sure as long as you’re not a child or elderly you won’t have a problematic time getting it in your home or up and down the stairs. Assembly was easy… but kind of annoying. Instructions were easy to follow. Attaching the frame to the base was the worst part but totally manageable. It came with its own tools, but I quickly swapped them out for some pliers and a screwdriver with the appropriate head on it. (Highly recommended) Build is sturdy, the cushion is comfy and doesn’t really have much of any odor. I’m just over 6’ and can still curl up with a blanket comfortably with a little bit of room left in the seat. Getting in and out is much easier than what one would expect from a more traditional papasan as this type doesn’t offer vertical movement as stated earlier. Last thing ide like to note: there’s small, hard plastic ‘feet’ at the bottom of the base. This may not be an issue if going into a carpeted room, but I purchased this for my living room which has hardwood floors. The chair isn’t gonna slide anywhere of its own accord, but I have a small concern the nubs may scratch the floor but this would easy become a non issue with a rug or mat underneath. P.s. came a day early. Always nice.

Difficult to assemble. 2 people needed and even then, had to use zip ties to get the 3 top pieces to fit together. The pad was good quality but the base is cheap plastic. Not sure of durability. There was plenty of hardware and came with 3 Alan wrenches and a wrench so no tools needed. Overall a good choice for the $. Well packaged and came quickly.

This chair is perfect! I’d consider myself a somewhat strong, somewhat independent, woman that does need a man sometimes(my husband) and I pretty easily put this together! It’s super sturdy and seems well built, spins well, and is very comfy! It was one of the more affordable ones I saw too when I was looking.

This rattan style papasan chair was easy to put together, but the synthetic wrap used around the metal body came loose in one section. I don't think it was a delivery problem, and it didn't warrant returning the whole chair for just this one section. Luckily, I was able to use black electrical tape to keep the loose ends in their place and cover around to fix the piece. Check out the pictures for how it was initially and how it ended after the repair. The chair is comfy. I've noticed that the bottom piece seems to be shorter than what the listing picture suggests. It's actually pretty difficult to see the base when looking at the chair. Also, while it's primarily intended for outside living, the chair will look good in a casual living room as well. Sort of a nice drop where you can read a book or listen to music while relaxing. As another reviewer has mentioned, the large pillow is a single piece and there's nothing on the back to make it stick to the frame. However, in practice this has not been a problem for us. If you're using this outside and you're worried about this, you may want to sew on a pair of velcro ribbons or canvas pieces to tie the seating down. Recommended.

This Papa San chair is great. Big enough to be really comfortable, but not as big as some I have seen that tend to dominate a room. Got this one to have something comfortable to have in a home office to sit in, be comfortable, and watch TV or play video Games. This chair comes in several pieces but the instructions for assembly are easy to understand and pretty thorough. It only took about 20 minutes to assemble. It swivels and the cushion takes a bit to form to the chair and stay where it's supposed to but very resilient and comfortable. The price is good as compared to other furniture options, I might even get another one for my sun room. I got the cream colored cushion with the black base and it looks very timeless and goes with any room color. Overall I am very happy with it, I do recommend!
