We have a puppy who does spend some time alone during the day. We didn’t want to leave him in a small cage and opted to get this as a larger option! We love it! It’s very easy to use and I like that we can customize the shape depending on the need. I am excited to use it in the future outside as well. It is quite sturdy and the size was great for my small yorkie. I do think a larger breed could very easily jump out of this. I was looking for a cost effective way of creating a safe space for my bulldog. I didn’t want to crate him all the time but he did need to have his own area due to his bladder problems. BUT, I did need to tweak a few things with the setup. It was super easy to set up and take down with the use of the large metal stakes it comes with. Even when it’s used indoors this thing is extremely sturdy! My 50 pound dog cannot knock it over or get out. This dog pen has been a lifesaver for me and my family! Instead of using it as a circle playpen, I used it to fence off his own area in my living room. Now when I leave the house I can have piece of mind that he won’t tear up the place. But also a lot better then putting him in a small crate. TIP: Make sure to buy a 4x4 carpet or something similar to put by each side of the door! Without one my dog was slipping when he tried jumping in and out! I used pieces of stair carpeting and now he doesn’t slip everywhere. Please see picture for my example. Also it is much bigger when used as a fence vs round playpen. If you can use two walls and just fence off an area you will get a lot more space. When using it to fence off an area make sure you also bend a few panels in to make it more circular so they aren’t all straight . This makes it way more sturdier. It’s easy to move when I wash the floor and my dog loves being in it too! Overall for the cost and quality this was one of the best purchases I have made! ... show more

Serves it's purpose well but panels (we got 16 panel 40") can be a bit wobbly. We strengthened them by adding a few t-posts and bricks along the outer edge. Bricks added also incase pup decides to dig. Would be nice if the set came with one extra stake because if you don't form a circle, you are short one stake for the ends. We though we would use as pictured at home and then take down 8 panels to carry on our camping trips but after adding the t-posts and wiring to the fence we will not do so. Will find another solution for camping. ... show more

Nice gate size that is wider than most. I like the gate latch, HOWEVER I wish the 2 were attached so just have to open the top one to open the gate (like a different model I bought before). This gate latch design requires both top and bottom to be manually opened at the same time which is an impossible feat. I ended up blocking the bottom latch with a zip tie so have to just open the top latch, to open the gate. Easy to assemble and does a great job of containment. I really like this pen. ... show more

The fence is pretty sturdy for the price. I’m very put together. The only complaint I have is the latches on the gate. Both need to be unhitched at the same time and they are quite far apart requiring the use of two hands which is cumbersome. This could’ve been resolved with a piece of The same metal wire At the fence is made out of welded to both latches connecting them. We have five cats and they love to go outside. Our backyard is fenced in, but quite large and parts of the yard can’t be seen from the back patio. In addition, there are sections of the fence around the corner, where the cats could sneak under the fence if they wanted to. (And they will want to). I got this fence to section off the one side The backyard that I can’t see so they can be outside with me, not having to pay attention to them as much. I’m going to get another fence just like it for the other side of the yard where I can’t see them from the patio. ... show more
