    • Pleasantly Surprised - Great Tent
I've been tent camping my entire life and have a lot of experience with a lot of tents. Everything from high end backpacking tents to more bargain basement models. For the price, I was kind of expecting this tent to fall into the "meh" category. However - I'm very pleasantly surprised. The quality of this tent seems comparable with other higher end, name brand tents I've used. Clip system poles, waterproofed seams, rainfly clip buckles. Setup is quite simple and straight forward. The large vestibule is well sized and an awesome feature - perfect for stashing gear or the dog. The other side of the tent also has a tiny rainfly covered area (about 6 inches) if you stake out the fly, which isn't a ton - but is enough to stash a pair of muddy boots there without bringing them into the tent. We got this as our family car camping tent (two adults, two young children). The full rainfly on this tent did an admirable job of helping keep the interior of the tent reasonable even when temperatures dropped close to freezing overnight. Unexpectedly thoughtful details include: a small plastic mallet as part of the tent kit, quality metal t-bar stakes with fluorescent cord already attached to the top, a storage bag that holds all the pieces (and was not a horrible nightmare to get the tent back into!), and the poles to turn the rain fly door into the sunshade are also included in the kit. A couple "less than ideal" things to be aware of (but at this price point - these are minor!): The vents in the middle of the rainfly can only be opened / closed from the outside. Which is kind of a pain if you're in a situation where you want the vents open when you go to sleep, but want to close them if you wake up cold partway through the night. There are two mesh pockets in the tent. But no "gear attic" net; and no attachment points to add one. Does not come with a tent footprint. (We simply purchased a tarp to go under it.) Overall - we are very pleased with this purchase. At this price point for a 4 person tent - don't hesitate. You won't regret this. I promise: I am a real person, a real mom, real camper and I did not receive any kind of payment or compensation for this review. I'm just pleasantly surprised to have received a tent that was better than I expected for this price. ... show more

This tent is well worth the price point that you pay for. Spacious room for 4 person, fully covered rainfly, and vestibule design is really nice. Pros: - Easy to setup and breakdown, the inner tent is full of mesh walls, kids can play inside in hot weather with good airflow but no bugs. - The rainfly is fully covered, my daughter spends one night in the backyard with this tent, it’s raining for about 3 hours, but she is dry inside. - Light and waterproof material, you may feel the material is flimsy, but it is rip-stop and waterproof well. Which is a good feature to provide a waterproof and light family tent. - Vestibule is really a nice design, someone can sleep inside, and someone may play cards or drink on the vestibule. It provides more possibility. - We put in 2 full air mattress, enough space for 2 adults and 2 kids. Cons: Haven’t found anything else, maybe you will need two people to install the tent, one person will be a little challenge. If you’re looking for a family tent that is affordable, waterproof and spacious, this is the right one to be a 4 person tent. ... show more

Love this tent. The spacious vestibule and double awning (front and back) are excellent features that I use every time I camp (and my friends always remark on how nice that awning is). My only issue is that with chilly, especially windy weather, the vestibule (which is formed out of the front of the fly tarp) still allows a draft to blow into the tent from the front, and therefore also allows some heat to escape. Fly tarps that cover up the tent without a vestibule do a better job sealing up the tent and retaining heat. Pros: Amazing vestibule for ample storage space and sitting. Great awnings that are also quite spacious (in front). You can probably squeeze two under the awning comfortably, setup your grill and cooking right there. Easy to setup (5 minutes + some time for tweaking/customization). Plenty of interior space (my wife and I unfold a whole indoor floor futon in there with some room to spare for a rug and our bags). Hooks for a lantern up top. Pockets for phones. Amazing awning that can accommodate customized setups (you can put up one awning pole instead of two). Cons: The vestibule lets in a draft in cold weather. Not terrible, but noticeable. That's it! This tent is definitely worth the price. ... show more

By far my most favorite tent I’ve owned! The setup took less than two minutes with two people. It’s super spacious on the inside and I love the extra room and coverage you get with the “patio” setup on the outside. We got hit by a thunderstorm the first time we used it and not only did it stay standing with the wind, but no water got anywhere inside the tent. Completely waterproof. There’s lots of windows for ventilation and the rain cover is really easy to put up and take down. Personally a big fan of the bright bold colors and got the blue - made it super easy to find in our dispersed camping sight. 10/10 tent. A phenomenal deal for what you spend! ... show more
