Features

  • Protective Roof: This chain link dog kennel protects against rain in case the weather turns to the negative, and the entirety of the steel dog playpen is shady, offering a cool, comfortable savior for hot, sweaty weather and summer heat. High temperatures can become a health problem, and shade provides an upgraded environment.
  • Spacious Area: A big 95 square feet of luxurious roominess makes this chain link dog fence a spacious friend. Use this outdoor dog run for large dogs and puppies who need to run around.
  • Sturdy Structure: Unlike wood, the chain link walling features steel wires and a sturdy galvanized steel frame that's resistance against wear from heavy use and harmful impact. There are no sharp edges that could hurt your pets.
  • Lockable Design: By raising the latch, the door can be opened; by lowering the latch, it can be closed. The door lock can protect your fur babies' safety and prevent their escape.

šŸš€ Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The kennel in review seems to offer a mixed bag of experiences, with some customers appreciating its size and structural soundness while others struggle with challenging assembly and durability. Its suitability for making a catio or dog run is acknowledged, but there appears to be a consensus on the difficulty of the setup, often requiring additional hands and tools. A few users noted that modifications were needed, either due to design flaws like the roof or to accommodate pets that like to dig.

Pros

  • šŸ“¦ Delivers the advertised size and has a substantial amount of extra fence length
  • šŸ”Ø Can be assembled by buyers, though time-consuming
  • 🐾 Suitable for cats and mid-size dogs and customizable in shape
  • 🌤 Comes with a shade cover, beneficial for pets in sunny areas

Cons

  • šŸ›  Challenging assembly, often requiring multiple people and not user-friendly
  • šŸ“¦ Missing parts and poor instructions complicate the setup process
  • šŸ—œ Fencing issues, such as being too thin or improperly rolled, and weak links at the gate
  • šŸ›‘ Subpar roof design prone to collecting water and sagging

Should I Buy It?

If you're in the market for a sizable and customizable kennel and are handy with DIY projects, this product may be suitable for you despite the potentially strenuous assembly process. However, if you are not equipped to handle complex setups or you require a robust structure for more powerful dogs, you might want to consider alternative options. The feedback suggests that this kennel is suitable for small to mid-sized dogs; owners of larger breeds or pets prone to digging might need to look elsewhere or be ready for additional reinforcement.

  • Good chicken coop
Size: 181.0"L x 181.0"W x 91.3"H
This worked great, just be careful with wind. the material itself was on the cheaper side but held up fine.

  • Not worth the time and money.
Size: 181.0"L x 181.0"W x 91.3"H
This is very cheap. The poles for the structure snap together which make it very weak, the canopy sags in the middle because there isn’t enough support, the chain link fence was a really cheap and twisted up when trying to unroll it. Just the force of me trying to unroll and stretch it out was enough to twist it up and get several bad spots and areas that I had to spend more time trying to close up and fix. The package was missing parts, specifically the support rods for the fence. They send zip ties (yes, freaking zip ties) to use to tie the fence to the support poles. I had to go to Lowe’s and spend another $100 on parts just to get the fence installed with enough support. The fence will stretch and bend just from putting tension on it to tighten it. The ONLY reason I’m not returning it for a refund is the time and effort it will take me to take this cheap piece of crap apart and package it back up. I’ve put enough time in it already. I almost feel like as cheap as this thing is, the company should refund me and let me take this to the landfill where it belongs. f you like to have cheaply made, crappy looking stuff sitting around your yard, buy this. If you like to have things that are nice and will last, spend your money somewhere else. ... show more

  • Overall good, tarp & instructions not so good.
Overall the cage itself is sturdy if you put it together carefully & secure the chain link properly. Instructions suck & the cover tore very easily during the first wind storm (you can easily replace it with a stronger tarp) but that’s my only complaint. I have had it for about a year now & have 6 large dogs (3 pits, a GSD, a Husky, & GSD/Husky) that have yet to escape from it. ... show more

  • Difficult to assemble
I was not prepared for the 6 hours it would take and the need for 3-4 people the assemble this kennel. The fencing which was precut too small for the door needed to have additional rows added in which was very time consuming. The metal rods to attach the fencing were not user friendly. We ended up using zip ties only. The self tapping screws were difficult to use and an impact wrench is needed as holes are not pre drilled. The tarp for the roof is not very good quality. Some hardware was missing for the latch. Once assembled, it was as shown in the picture and acceptable but be prepared! ... show more

  • Hard to assemble and parts don’t fit
Size: 157.5"L x 157.5"W x 91.3"H
I bought this thinking it would be the perfect dog run for my dogs. It arrived. The instructions are absolutely horrible to understand. The structure is a snap in so it’s not sturdy it ends and not only that the connectors don’t fit the structure we had to retrofit those the mesh Wiring that goes around the structure uses the little tiny, thin metal wires that you have to twist and bend and then cut and twist ties . What should’ve been a couple hours assembly I haven’t even been able to complete the assembly of it because we have to retrofit so many parts to this waste of your time effort and money ... show more

  • Waste of money at this point
Size: 181.0"L x 181.0"W x 91.3"H
Yet another update not happy I have added pictures this time. Came home today 6/20/21 to find the top bars of the dog kennel has Collapsed I feel like this would of happen if the tarp cover would have fit properly and not have been so loose to begin with. Which was my 1st Complete. There were holes in the cover from the wind blowing it off last time so I had add some extra Support to try and tighten it up and now it completely destroyed. It has only been a couple of months sents I have put this together. And it has been nothing but trouble. Something that was supposed to make this easier and better for my dog has do just the opposite. My dog is a medium size dog and she has been able to bite her way through the gate so I had added a screen and put a rode all the way around the bottom and wired it down to the Frame and and the fence is so soft she has even pushed the links together to make a hole in the side. Also have pictures. Another update. The tarp cover didn't even make it thought the 1st storm sents being put up. It ripped right off. Update. My dog was able to push up the fence to get out. I had to buy Rebar to run though the bottom of the fents and then I used binding wire to curate it to the bottom bar. I must save fairly easy to assemble instructions could use some work however I was able to put this up by myself While holding a baby and chasing around a toddler Because he kept taking the parts lol it Just took a couple of days. The tarp that covers the top is loss that is the only down fall ... show more

  • Not well made, extra supplies NECESSARY.
Size: 181.0"L x 181.0"W x 91.3"H
I bought this kennel before reading reviews and regret it. It’s a big kennel which I was looking for for my 4 l/xl dogs. (2 Shephards, a mountain cur, and a pit/lab mix) The size is about the only good thing about it. The precut fencing for the gate was too short, we had to put extra galvanized fencing to make it secure. No tension rod and the chain link was all tangled and pieces weren’t secured together which made it time consuming to put together and fix the chain link as much as possible but still doable just took a lot of adjusting and some of it looks funky and bent. There is one upwards post that is visually crooked but we don’t know why or how. We tried a few ways to fix it before giving up and letting it be as is. The poles for the roof don’t reach from the middle bar to the outside so we couldn’t use those and will have to try to secure the tarp on top another way. (Haven’t tried to put the tarp cover on yet) If you buy this, buy some tie wire bc the metal ties and zipties are not enough to secure a dog who wants to get out. I’d also recommend having some other fencing for back up (we used galvanized fencing, it’s much more sturdy) ... show more
