The Y50 Robotic Pool Cleaner does a decent job, but it’s not perfect. The battery life is great, and it climbs walls well. The intelligent route planning is hit almost all time. It’s convenient since it’s cordless, but for the price is just worth it.

This pool cleaner is heavy duty but yet simple. I really like the large fill basket that allows for lots of debris pick up but yet able to dump out and spray it off to clean it easily. The cleaning mode options allow you to choose between floor, wall, waterline and all for cleaning-just need to read the included instructions to determine which one is which. The instructions say that it has a special float option that when it gets stuck the front will float and the back will stay attached to free itself of debris but haven’t seen that in action yet; however, a cool feature if it works. The machine seems well made and it’s easy to charge. The charging port is seems to be well protected from water getting in when it’s submerged in the water. Love that it’s cordless so it can clean without the hoses and everything around; however, the instructions say you shouldn’t clean it when you have people actively in the pool. I don’t have stairs in my pool but it says it has stair climbing ability. The only thing I would say about this is that it comes with a plastic retrieval hook that is short and doesn’t seem that strong so if the cleaner is far it might be difficult to get it without getting wet and make sure you use it as a retrieval device where you pull it in the water toward you and not out of the water with it.

The media could not be loaded. This wireless pool cleaner is very easy to use and there was no putting together as it comes ready to be used. It has a power on and off button and a knob they switched to different cleaning modes. After the vacuum is turned on, you will not hear it until it’s placed inside the pool. The vacuum comes with a retrieval hook that is easy to hook the machine and remove once it’s done cleaning or of the battery is low. Cleaning the machine is quite simple as it comes with a basket you can empty. This is very different than the others I’ve had as to clean them I have to take off the rag, wash it and then put the rag back on, so I was pleased to see how easy it was to clean. To charge this machine all you do is turn the charging knob counter clockwise (please take it out of the pool to charge :) and make sure to dry the surface area if it’s wet), plug the charger and that’s about it. It doesn’t take much to charge which is a big plus. The only con I saw was that once you are done with the machine you have to take it out of the pool and store it in an area away from the sun. I was used to just leaving it in the pool turning it on and off and getting on with my day, so this is a change for me. But it may not be a bad one as it might protect the device to last longer. Overall I’m very happy with my vacuum. I like how it has different modes to clean and it’s very easy use.
