I like this little guy. My only complaint is that he leans forward just a bit. It's not enough of an issue to return it or give it a lower review though. I like that it is tall and easy to grab out of the water to refill.

We needed a new pool chlorine tablet holder. This fits the bill and the kids named it Dave, from Penguins of Madagascar. Over time, the top float does soak up water, but you can manually squirt it out and it is good as new. Holds up to 4 thick tablets at full capacity. We usually kept 2 or 3 in it. Lasted all summer in over 100 degree heat with no shade. Worth the buy.

We love him, obviously. He has the most amazing backstory. But we'll save that for another day. Once swimming season is over, Octavius plans on getting his law license. So at least he'll have something to do this winter. We'd buy his ornery butt again 100% He does his job well and holds enough chlorine to keep us safe. He's bigger than I thought. Which was a good thing. He is durable and way too fun to have floating around.

Let me begin by saying that I may rewrite a new review if I get customer service assistance for my problem with this little octopus. He seems to want to fill with water in the octopus part, and if he doesn't have 4 large pucks in the basket, he sinks to the bottom of the pool. My last pool puck guy (a fish from a different company) would float when the basket was empty.Not sure if he is missing a drain and he is a defect. I have reached out to their customer service and awaiting their reply.

I bought the poop emoji to make the kids laugh during summer and also because my primary chlorine dispenser couldn't seem to keep up with the Southern California sun. The problem is, it's so cute, the kids won't leave it alone. Not the manufacturer's fault, of course. Some cons are that chlorine and/or the sun will rapidly fade the color of the item, and if you don't tether the item and happen to have a small waterfall where the item can absorb water through its small top hole, it will topple over to its side and sink. It's very hard to squeeze the water out of the top hole once it fills up and if you don't get all the water out, it will try to lay on its side instead of straight up. In summary, it's cute, but cheap. Consider tethering it for better results. Also, if you're in a very hot climate, it may only last a couple seasons.
