This is a really nice string of lights; they're not flimsy, the color is nice and warm, and there are some very nice long strands. HOWEVER, there is no bulb on the top of each string, to set on the roof/shingle edge. The wire (actually several strands) that connects all the icicles, has no lights on it whatsoever, so the icicles start with the top light an inch or two or three below the roof line, depending on how curled up the wires for that icicle strand are. This does make for a much softer effect, but it also means that no matter how carefully you measure and place your strands on the shingles, to an observer walking or driving by, it's going to look like you eyeballed where to staple the strands every random few feet, because the wires on the top of the shingles don't show since there's no lighting up there whatsoever. These are definitely not for the nitpicky perfectionist decorator who takes the time to carefully place the top bulb that's usually on the connector wire, on top of the shingle or directly under it or wherever you place that bulb in order to ensure that you have a perfectly matched top line to go with your icicles-usually the type of person who also carefully measures the distance between icicles. :) These are daintier looking than many icicle lights, though. I owe apologies to all the people over the years who were probably using lights like this, and I just assumed they were in a rush to get their lights up. :)

The first set I ordered had some issues but the replacement was spot on. The first set had the electric plug is placed in the middle of the light strains. This didn’t work for me for how I would need to hang my lights. Luckily the way this was set up you can disconnect one side and plug it in at the end of the other side (not sure if that makes sense) to make it one long sting of lights the way I needed them to be. Unfortunately after getting the lights half hung, I discovered that the wire in the middle was broken so I had to take them down and put in for a replacement. When the replacement came the lights where a completely different set up. Having the electric plug on one end and making the light string one continuous length, which is exactly what I wanted in the first place. The boxes said they were from the same company but looked different so I’m not sure why there are 2 total different sets *shrug* but it all worked out in the end.

For the first year ever I got my Xmas decorations up early. Was sooo excited to add these lights! Night one, they looked AMAZING! Nice pattern. Look great, easy to put up. Feeling like a million bucks. Evening #2 I walk under my balcony and found a light bulb on the ground. I picked it up and saw where it was perfectly sheared off about an inch from the light. The thin clear wires sliced through cleanly. Went in and yelled at my son, who I knew had to be the obvious culprit. Went up, found the cut line, spliced back together and sealed it with hot glue...pretty inventive if I said so myself. So night two light back magnificently and I moved the motion camera to watch the balcony. Evening three I found an entire string of lights hanging down from balcony. Their perfectly sliced ends of FOUR wires side by side almost at eye level. Was about to go get my son when I pulled up the surveillance camera. A SQUIRREL chewed through the lines, severing a light bulb and takit it with him...clearly a shiny "acorn" for him to treasure. In the remaining week three other bulbs were sliced away. The entire string went in the trash....Likely to the chagrin of the Liberace of the squirrel kingdom... In 21 years at the address I have never hand a single traditional Xmas light string bitten by squirrels. Not once.

These lights are very easy to work with and they are nice and bright and they look great! I purchased 4 of the 66' soft white strands to do my entire house and I had 2 issues... 1. A wire was pulled loose from one of the LED bulbs and this had a small section out. I was able to find the problem and temporarily fix it. I have contacted the seller to get a new strand sent to replace the section I fixed, but after a week have gotten no where. I will update if this changes. 2. I ran one section across most of the front of my house. Then the other 3 sections to complete the house were connected together. As those 3 sections got further from the plug, they became more dim and it was very visible. I unconnected them and ran separate power for each section and then they were all the same brightness. Summary... Having to run individual power to each section was a little bit of a pain. Having to repair and section on my own and still nothing from the seller is not cool. With that said, the lights were great to work with and they look amazing! I would recommend them.

These lights have worked great. I have been happy with their look and programming. However my one complaint is how light weight they are. Every time a stiff wind blows through the lights blow back on top of the roof and have to be manually pulled back down.

This is weird. I go to plug in the lights to make sure they are all working properly and, to my astonishment, they are the most beautiful looking blue icicle lights I've ever seen. I go outside and get on the roof to start hanging them, however, and get about half way through and notice that the connector for the 2nd half is located in the middle of the first half. Edit: After completely taking down the lights and laying them back out again, I noticed that I just hadn't tugged hard enough to get the wrapped strands apart. These lights are awesome and I can't wait to see them at night along with my other decorations. 100% recommend!

The media could not be loaded. They are great lights and they are beautiful in any setting! Only con is they come a bit tangled coming out of the box but was easily handled! The wires are durable feeling but thin enough to work with almost any clip or staple. Will buy again and highly recommend!
