BMW 2006 E53 X5 3.0 Over all head unit is good. Lots of features and add on's available. There is a learning curve to using radio and switching between different functions. Install is strait forward on electrical connections. Steering wheel buttons work to control head unit. You do have to cut out plastic infostructure that held original radio to fit this new unit, so there is no going back to stock business radio. Only way to secure install is to put double-sided tape around radio where it meets trim of dash. Makes a snug fit and looks like professional install. It does work with Car Play well. Does not have wireless mirror function. You have to plug in to USB port to get mirror feature. Screen size is great when using driving directions map. I looked at all other replacement head units on market and this one does not block vents, gives you all features that other head units provide, biggest display and actually looks like a professional fit. Instructions could have been written a little bit better, but will get you by with a little patience. ... show more

Plug and play. Steering wheel controls work. Great sound. Micro SD card slot. I was able to load over 6000 song. Only issue I'm having is no GPS signal. The GPS antenna is connected correctly but no signal. The reason I gave it 4 star instead of 5. I have 2005 BMW X5
