I use these chlorine tabs in my backyard water feature. Left alone, the water develops that special shade of green that screams “something is rotting here.” The sound might still be relaxing, but it’s hard to enjoy when you’re staring at pond scum. With one of these tabs (or three if you are feeling adventurous and want to get yelled at), the water actually stays clear. It doesn’t smell like a swamp, it doesn’t look like soup, and I don’t feel like I’m running an off-the-books mosquito breeding program. The tabs dissolve slowly and keep working without me having to think about it. There’s nothing fancy about them. They’re chlorine, shaped into a hockey puck, and they do exactly what you hope they’ll do. Without them, my water feature is a failed science experiment. So far so good! Not only was each puck individually wrapped then wrapped again all together, but there wasn't even 1 single broken puck in the entire bucket.
