I got this surgery suit for after my puppy was spayed to keep her from scratching surgery sutures. The material is soft with a bit of stretch. It also has cuffs at the neck and leg openings so they don't shift around or snag on things. I tested the suit on my pup prior to surgery. She didn't like the process of putting the suit on, but once it was on she didn't mind it at all. I've never put clothes and such on her, but I think she enjoyed wearing it because it is comfy without bulk. The big downside of this surgery suit is the method to put it on. It's easy to get the suit over her head, and the front paws aren't too bad to get on. However, the back legs are tricky to get in. I struggled with getting her back legs into the suit prior to surgery. I wish I had practiced putting it on her more times prior to surgery so we were both more comfortable with the process. After her procedure, I tried to put it on her the first night. She didn't mind it going over her head or putting her first front paw in, but when I tried to put her second front paw in, she winced with pain. I think this is because the way her leg needs to bend to get in the suit was uncomfortable to her sutures. I made one more attempt in case it was just anxiety, but she again could not tolerate getting the second leg on. I tried again the next day and we had success! She didn't mind so long as we gave her lots of her favorite treats. :) As long as she cooperated and stayed still, it wasn't too much of a struggle to get the legs on. Just took a little patience. I really like that it comes with two surgery suits. That way, I can take one off to wash and have the other one ready to put on her. It has held up well and keeps her sutures covered. She sniffs and licks the area a little bit, but isn't tempted to bite the area or scratch it. I will hang on to these surgery suits and use them in the future as pajamas for my puppy. She did seem to like wearing them, and I was able to wash them without issue. The suit is also designed so your dog can eliminate (1 & 2) without removing, and I really like that feature. I think this suit would be perfect if it opened along the back. That way, she could just step into it with her four paws and then closed up the back. As it is, we had to be delicate with getting her dressed post surgery. But in the end, it served its purpose well.

Super cute soft and strict dog recovery suit. Nice large size for a small lab or collie. The vet decided to put my dog on a so she didn’t need to wear surgery recovery but this is a nice quality one I would’ve been comfortable having her wear. We may need it in the future who knows. I like that it’s stretchy. I like the pattern. It’s soft it’s washable. It has cuffs around the leg so she can’t get it off easily. It has an area you can make a cut out for a male dog although I have a female dog this is a good quality set.

While I know these are designed for dogs that are recovering from surgery, I bought them as pajamas for pitbull. I can see how they would work amazingly for a dog recovering from surgery since they are more snug over the tummy than normal pajamas and they have more coverage on the tummy and the legs. My dog looks adorable in these and they fit perfect! I ordered based on the sizing chart and they are accurate. For reference my dog is 21 inches along the back, 27 inches in the chest, and 19 inches in the neck. You also get two for the low and reasonable price, which is better than some of the other options. Well worth the cost. The material is also extremely soft, so I feel comfortable with my dog wearing them. They are tight, but have some stretch to them to get over there legs and head. But, they will not stretch to another size, so pay attention to the size chart. Each pajama has a drawstring on the back over the tail, which you can adjust to better fit your dog's little bootie. Since my pit is built with a lengthy body I didn't really need to use it, but it is nice to have the option. I did end up scrunching it before letting her out to the bathroom. She was also able to use the bathroom without incident in it, which is a major plus. She can move around and dig in her covers without it coming off or bunching in one area. I also washed them in the washing machine without incident. The quality is very good and I would definitely buy more if they had other colors.

Trading the dreaded plastic head cone for this massive 5XL doggie surgery onesie turns a miserable recovery period into a slightly ridiculous fashion statement. The long-sleeve fabric does an excellent job of completely covering the necessary areas to prevent any sneaky licking or chewing, and the adjustable drawstring helps secure the fit around a larger frame so they cannot easily wiggle their way out of it overnight. It offers a huge relief in terms of comfort, allowing a big dog to actually navigate through doorways and lie down to sleep normally without constantly banging a giant plastic shield against the furniture or your shins. The only minor drawback keeping it from a perfect score is the sheer logistics of the bathroom flap setup for a giant breed, which requires a bit of human coordination and quick timing to roll up out of the way before you open the back door for a potty break.

These recovery suits are such a cute alternative to the traditional cone! The fabric is soft, lightweight, and stretchy, so it allows dogs to move around comfortably without feeling restricted. I especially love that they aren’t gender specific and can work for both male and female dogs, with thoughtful design features for each. The adjustable drawstring in the back is a nice touch to help customize the fit, and I appreciate that they can be used for so much more than surgery recovery, like to prevent licking, help with skin issues, reduce shedding, or simply wearing them as adorable pajamas. The dinosaur and unicorn prints are absolutely adorable and make them much cuter than a plain recovery suit. As a sizing reference for fellow bully or wide chest breed owners, the 5XL unfortunately did not fit one of my bullies whose chest measures 31 inches, but that’s okay because it fit our smaller bully perfectly. Bullies can be tough to size because of their broad chests, so I definitely recommend measuring carefully before ordering. Overall, these are comfortable, versatile, and much more practical than a cone in many situations. Even after recovery, they’ll continue to get used as cozy dog pajamas.
