This fan is awesome! I got it to cool me down while working on a woodchip pile & blow the mold spores from the pile (it had been sitting awhile) away from me. It worked great for that. Unfortunately, the pile was still too much for me to handle, but this fan helped me get a big portion of it spread out across my yard. Since then I've used it for everything & it continues to amaze me & amaze whoever sees it working. It's very powerful on just its low setting & only gets stronger from there. On setting 3 (its most powerful) I've used it as a leaf blower to clean up stray woodchips from the pile and just to clean dirt, leaves, sticks, & small rocks off my porch. Is it ideal as a leaf blower? Absolutely not. The motor being on 1 side & the gyroscopic effect it creates while on means it wants to spin to one side & flip over, BUT boy can it function as a leafblower! This makes it multipurpose (for those short on house space) & super handy in a pinch when you don't have a dedicated leafblower. If it had a long tube attachment to focus the air, it would be even better & I would buy that attachment in a heartbeat. Someday, I might try to make a funnel/tube. Other things I've used it for: - Airing out paint fumes from a building at work. - Keeping that same work building reasonably cool when the AC broke on a 100° plus day. - Currently, it's been running for at least 2 weeks straight keeping my brother's room cool, because his room has poor airflow combined with being in the hotest corner in the house (from the sun) & his PC heats the room up. **The ONLY downside for me is that it's loud. I did get this this model because according to the reviews it's much quieter than the cheaper (~$70 whatever it's been awhile, I can't remember) model of this brand. TO BE FAIR, any fan with this much power is going to have to have noise, and for the sheer power & compactness, it's SSOOOOO worth it when you need it. I just love this fan. The cable management is fantastic. I've even had an extension cord plugged into it & kept it wrapped up with its original cable wrapped up still. The handle on top is very sturdy for carrying the fan & handling. The rubber feet are are super non-slip & feel very solid. Ok, sorry, SECOND DOWNSIDE, but I don't blame them for this one: Sometimes, I need an in between angle to tilt the fan to, but we just prop something under it, or lean it back onto something. I DON'T blame them for this because it would make the fan annoying if it needed nubs/feet for every possible angle imaginable. As it is, it is extremely well designed for the most commonly useful angles, and the rubber feet hold it solidly, no slipping, no nothing. ... show more

This is a very good air mover. Had a dishwasher leak and had to dry out the flooring before reinstalling and the washer. I owned a carpet cleaning and repair company for 20 years and sold it 9 years ago. I should have kept an air mover as I had several as I did water damage restoration also. But this small but powerful unit was just what I needed. Think I will get another one just to have on hand in case I have a future to need. I was going to get one locally, but didn't want to pay almost twice as much, plus this was delivered the next day. Highly recommend this unit. ... show more

I was pleasantly surprised at the sturdiness of this fan -very heavy duty. My car sunroof leaked, and the padding under the carpet was completely soaked. I ran this unit 10 hours /day for 3 days straight, and it didn't miss a beat, completely drying the carpet out. I read in a few reviews some frustration about the timer. Using the timer is an option. It will run infinitely if the timer is not used. This fan will work great for drying floors and carpet anytime there is a water event in a building or automobile -highly recommended! ... show more
