The keys, keypad and fingerprint activation work well. Keypad lights up when touched.The box pops open quickly and has an internal light. The instructions have two gaps, some poor grammar and are oddly written in the first person like the box is talking to you. First, Very frustrating is trying to attach the box with the cable to another fixture. No instruction for this. You have to unscrew the cable and insert the cable through a side hole, but screwing it back on is extremely difficult. Tip: put the box on its cable side with the cable poking out. Put a left finger on top of the screw inside the box and turn the screw with the right hand to hold it in place. Second, you have to use numbers 1 to 4 for the code, not like a combination lock with numbers zero through nine. ... show more

The safe its self is great for what I needed it for! But the instructions on how to program it were incorrect and have you doing a factory reset every time you try to add a pin or fingerprint!

Easy to set codes and biometrics. Pretty quick piston opening. We normally store our pistols in mattress holsters but our 2 year old grandchild stays with us, and we want to ensure his safety. A+
