I would suggest ordering a size up. I ordered XL and they were a bit tight. Got the XXL and it fits great with those lil adjusters to tighten up on my skinny days.I bought these to wear hiking but Ive been wearing them everywhere and everyday. Got all four colors and will probably buy another black. Great materials. The zippers work well. Not cheap zippers like on others. The zippers make it wonderful, cuz they don't have to be closed, but putting my cell phone in a pocket with a zipper opening is peace of mind. No more sitting on the bench press and having my phone fall out. No more sitting anywhere and having ANYTHING fall out. They dry super fast. They are super easy to clean, as I tend to get a lot of dirt and dog slobber on them, but it just wipes off with damp towel. I would highly recommend these shorts. I now have two pairs of these pants. They are great for fishing, hiking and lounging. Even did some yard work in them. They fit very well. And, they fit as expected. I am 6'5" and about 220 lbs, the XL fit me great! They come down to just above the knees, are stretchy and adjustable in the waist, can be used with a tactical belt which I have done to conceal carry, can take my Samsung S21 phone e easily in the front pocket, and can keep keys, wallets and items secure in the deep pockets or the velcro and zippered compartments. I'm guessing the 511 tacticals are a little bit better made, but these are lighter, comfortably air-conditioned with the black material, and they are easy to wash--I just suds them in the shower with me and toss them over the curtain rod. They dry by the next day...which is why I got the light tan and the grey ones. With a sturdy canvas belt, I CC comfortably with them. Seem like they will last a long time, and when I spilled soy sauce on them, it wiped off with a damp rag, so they're pretty stain-resistant, at least when new(er?). A little pricey, but I'll wear the same two pair all spring, summer, and fall, unless I have to wear slack or jeans. Maybe I'll update after all three seasons are done. ... show more
